Columbia Branch - The Seattle Public Library — Attraction in Seattle

Support your local library! I recently had the inspiration to engage again within the Seattle Library system and wow!! I already feel so immersed in all the literature I've considered reading but never purchased it myself.

The Columbia City branch is in a beautiful old building that has a good selection of practically every topic you can think of. What's great about the Seattle library system is, if you're willing to wait with a hold, you have access to every library's stock within their system which is a ton of content.

And the content comes in your preferred format! I lean towards physical and ebooks but there's audiobooks, video, etc.

They partner with other apps such as Libby so it's easy to find content where you are at. Often holds take time but there's so much out there, it's virtually guaranteed you can find something similar instantly while you wait for the other content.

I've had nothing but good experiences at this local branch. The staff have always been ready to help and are pleasant people. Checking out content is extremely easy and often can be done without needing to wait in line.

All you need is a library card (physical or virtually on your phone) and a desire to read!

It’s the best branch ever. The staff is very helpful and u get books very quickly. You can always rely on them. There’s something for younger kids to do while their family get their books. One problem is that they have such a small parking. On a really sunny day it’s packed and u have to do a drop in and out or wait for a free parking for hours.
