The food was great but this was up there with the lousiest service I've ever received. I grew up in Tampa and have been looking for a proper Cuban sandwich (with actual cuban bread) for a few years now.

The food was great, the roasted pork was deliciois and the pressed cuban bread was just like I remember it. I'll give the cuban a 4.5 stars but the quality of service was so poor that it really took away from the experience. First, even though there was only one other party dining, I had to go to the bar after 5 minutes of sitting down just to ask again for the water I ordered when I was seated. I had to flag down my server for my next two refills, and was never even offered a refill. This simple fact reflects an abysmal level of attention to customer care. Also I asked if I could have yellow rice w black beans instead of the white rice w black beans item. He said yes of course but instead i was brought an order of yellow rice and a separate order of black bean soup and was charged for both. Hopefully you have a better experience than I did because the...

The service was fantastic, but sadly, the food was terrible. It was so bad that I couldn't even eat it, and I absolutely hate wasting food (and money!). This is not Cuban food. While I am not Cuban (I'm Puerto Rican), I take offense at this bland atrocity being called Cuban food.

The croquetas were so dark that I questioned when the oil was last changed and what else had been fried in it. The flavor was okay, but that was the only highlight (if any). The sweet plantains were refried frozen fried sweet plantains, but you can’t get much better in WA.

The Ropa Vieja was essentially a tasteless meat and tomato soup. What a disaster! This dish does not truly resemble Ropa Vieja; it lacks depth of flavor and balance among the ingredients. Real Ropa Vieja is slowly cooked for hours, but this one tasted like it was made on the spot. Additionally, as a massive fan of Ropa Vieja, I've never seen it served with yellow rice, but I suppose everyone has their preferences, so I’m willing to let...

Great ambiance, very spacious. It's currently being worked on in the back but it's not full of construction noise.

Great place for large gatherings, parties, events etc. Also, this place has a stage and offers as a venue for weddings, celebrations etc.

The food is completely authentic and well done, probably one of the only Cuban places around. The plantains are roasted to perfection, the meat is melt in your mouth soft and the rice combos arent overly seasoned or dry. Don't let the presentation fool you, the flavors are top notch and meant to be mixed. Staff are helpful and responsive and happy to help you understand the flavors. I would add a photo of the food but it was so good I couldn't wait to dig in.

Parking on 1st ave along the street or stalls on forest st just...

Cafe Con Leche is a little gem tucked away in West Seattle and we’re so glad we discovered it today. It smelled delicious the minute we walked in. We had the puerco asada and masitas. Both delicious. The puerco asada is one of their most popular dishes and for good reason - everything on the plate was tasty, especially when mixed and eaten together. The seasoned sliced onions are delicious. I don’t think I’ve ever had onions that taste so good. We ended off with a Cuban flan and espresso. Perfect meal, service was warm and friendly, and the vibe was cosy and low key. Definitely a recommended stop if you’re in the area.
