Great Flavors at a Price
The quick review: it's delicious, but a little spendy unless you're working in tech or for Starbucks management. Burgers are small but bigger than Dick's (especially because of the vegetables). Get a Double Deluxe ($5.25) with raw onions and some fries ($2.79).
PICK-QUICK might not replace Dick's Drive-In for Seattle locals, but it's a nice, slightly higher-quality alternative (especially if you live in South Seattle -- an area not serviced by our beloved burger chain) that is absolutely worth trying.
First, the majority of the reviews are true: you're going to wait a lot longer as everything is made to order. For two Doubles and Fries, we waited about ten minutes; and it did seem that the drive-thru was prioritized over our walk-up order.
And about that -- just about everybody assumed the pickup area was where you ordered. Kind of a silly layout, once you see it (you order at the sidewalk).
Parking is very limited and the only area to eat besides a car is a small, unused counter corner next to the ordering window. It would be nice to have a bench table, but they're very obviously limited on space.
With that said, the burgers were nearly perfect. Great overall flavor with each layer complimenting the next. The beef had a decent crust (I'd prefer more, but at least they had it), perfectly melted "cheese paper" American cheese, a Dick's Deluxe-style special sauce, complimented by extremely crisp iceberg lettuce, a nice slice of tomato, along with a crunchy slice of sweet onion.
Perfectly greasy.
The Fries were great, but the portion is quite small. They're similar to Dick's (or In-n-Out), but not soggy. They were perfectly crispy, hot, and tasted a bit like Pringles.
Their shakes use amazingly high-quality ice cream, but are a bit too thick and could use a bit more whole milk in the ratio. The same goes for the malts -- a little too strong.
The price is a little steep, and I'm curious to try the original locations; but overall, I want to applaud the owners for maintaining a quality standard.
Thanks for the tasty burger,...

UPDATE: As I'm not one to hate after only one visit, I went back to Pick-"Quick" again today to give them another shot. I won't be going back a third time. One car in front of me when I hit the drive through at 11:45am. From the time I ordered to the time I pulled up to the window was 20 minutes. Nothing "Quick" about that. The guy in front of me only got one small bag of food so I have no idea what took so long. Once again, my food had been sitting there for a while so once again the bag was soaked with grease and the food was lukewarm at best. I got a reply to my last review saying food is made fresh but if that's the case, why has my food been cold both times? The woman that rang me up said nothing to me, took my card while BS'ing with a coworker, handed me my card and food and started to close the window. I had to ask her for my soda and now that I'm back at my desk I see that I didn't get all of my food (missing a burger and the fry sauce that they charge you extra for... nice). $17 dollars of food? Hardly. Never going to waste my time or money at Pick-"Quick" again and neither should you.
Original Review: Pretty meh. Drive through is kinda slow. Not sure why it took so long when I was there. By the time I got to the window my food was no longer hot and the bag had soaked through with grease. Also, one of my burgers was REALLY pink in the middle. I bit too pink for ground meat (and I do like my meat medium rare). Pick-Quick sauce is bomb, though. They should sell that by the gallon. I'll try them again soon just to make sure I didn't get unlucky on the day I went there.
Edit: Always nice to see a reply from management to a review like this. Adding a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy rating is based on two separate factors: the food and the service. First, the food. Very basic. Nothing special, but does the job. Burgers, fries, shakes. I've had much better from other chains, but have also had worse from really large chains. So, 3 stars for the food. Next, the service. 1 star. That rating is based largely on what happened to me this week. I tried to order a little meal for my family on Sunday. I was able to place an online order for pick-up, with a confirmed pick up time, and Pick Quick was very happy to take my money. HOWEVER, when I got to the location, they were closed! Why did they take my money and allow me to schedule a pick up order for a day that they were closed? With no note on the website or order page stating that they were closed. Oh well, should be easy to refund me, right? So, that night I emailed Pick Quick explaining what happened and included a screenshot of my digital receipt. Again, that was Sunday. Never heard back from them, so yesterday (Thursday) I gave them a call. I asked to talk to the manager so I could sort out the situation. The worker who answered the phone tried to get the manager but the manager told him that he was too busy to talk to me at that moment, so I needed to call back in the morning. That is not how a person, especially a manager, should interact with customers. I said that I was going to leave my phone number and the manager should call me that evening when he had a chance. Not surprisingly, the manager never called. Not Thursday night. Not at any point on Friday (today). So, I disputed the charge with my credit...
