There are not a lot of coffee establishments in the Northgate area. This is a solid one!
There is a large selection of coffee, espresso drinks, tea, smoothies, and food (alki bakery, macrina bakery, etc...). There are also seasonal drinks and bottled items. I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. They have a great assortment.
Fairly large indoor space and outdoor patio. Lots of outlets. Advanced trash sorting. Very cold inside! If you are camping out with your laptop, consider bringing a jacket. I always do because the AC is on all the time.
They have a frequent buyer point system but no one tells you the process. You have to enter your phone number on a separate keypad before your transaction completes, but after they start hitting buttons on the register. No one announces this time window so I specifically ask for it. Also, only drinks contribute to points, not food. I wasn't told this until I had been there five times. I find the lack of explanation kind of disingenuous. There have been multiple times my drink purchase did not contribute to the points. They offer to void the transaction and redo it so you can get your points. But I don't want to hold up the line. This whole process could probably...
Read moreThis is the only place I’ll get flavored espresso drinks! I love espresso and 90% of the time I will order a regular latte just because I don’t like drinks that are too sweet. Diva is the exception to my “no sweet coffee” rule because they really take care not to overdo it with the syrups and add ins! Their seasonal drinks are always creative and well balanced and it makes going for coffee feel more exciting again, like it did when I was a teen. The staff here also definitely deserve props not just for serving stellar and consistent drinks, but also just for being kind and fun to joke around with. Whoever is in charge of hiring for this location has really got a great staff going, the vibes are immaculate! Also: They almost always have a Gluten Free food option, which is really nice since I have Celiac and there aren’t a lot of places that cater to this...
Read moreWow! Is not even a word close to describe this place! For a small local coffee shop I would say this place is league's ahead of Starbucks! Firstly let's talk about how you can get a meat pie called a Lomo filled with sirloin steak, onions, and seasoned extremely well paired with what I think is a rosemary oil all for 6bucks! It was perfect! The coffee was amazing! I had the white chocolate mocha made with oatmilk and my son had their grilled cheese sandwhich and a sprite. I also grabbed one of their cinnamon rolls which was also very good not too sweet which is fantastic in my opinion. Overall for all that I paid less then $30! Save yourself some money and disappointment buying overrated coffee and head...
