My fiancé and I moved to Seattle exactly 1 month ago and we were so excited about the area. We loved that there were a few restaurants within walking distance of our property. So we were excited to check out Fiddlers. Our first experiences were great! The male bartender was friendly and we sat on the patio, even though the wine list is small but eclectic he was very knowledgeable. This time around a couple of weeks later we decided to visit Fiddlers again. The woman behind the bar was very dismissive and short and this was at 5:30 PM. The patio area only had two separate groups sitting together and inside was empty. I had to tell her where we were sitting instead of her seating us. And then after waiting for about five minutes I went and retrieved my own menus she did not offer them to me when I was at the ordering window. When we’re ready to order just food she asked me for my ID and my fiancé‘s ID even though we weren’t ordering alcoholic beverages she told me that I was a 21 and over establishment… OK. I brought them to her she never asked me if I wanted a soda, water, tea or anything so when I return to ask her for a beverage she scooped our glasses in the ice bin and then proceeded to turn on the faucet where I’ve seen them wash dishes. Then hand me the glass of water. I know hospitality is something that should come natural to some people and others need to be thoroughly trained so I think y’all should maybe take her back to the drawing board because it was very unprofessional and there was no care about...
Read moreMy husband and I visited the fiddler's inn for the first time tonight. While he ordered dinner at the bar, I went to the water fountain and back to the table to save our seats. The waitress at the restaurant approached me and asked for my ID, after my husband had already purchased our food from her. I wasn't carrying it and told her I wasn't planning on buying an alcoholic drink. She said she still needed to see it and that I should go home and get it in order to eat there. So I did immediately end up going back home to grab my ID. Normally, I would respect the staff's decision and happily do what it takes to present my ID, but here's what was wrong with tonight's turn of events: My husband, a white male who ordered alcohol, wasn't asked for his ID. I'm an Indian female, who didn't order alcohol, was asked for my ID. I felt targeted. If there was a strict "no ID, no food" policy (which there isn't because my husband wasn't asked for his ID), I wish the waitress didn't wait until after our food was purchased to ask me for it.
I'm only even giving this review two stars because the food was actually good. Needless to say, I won't be returning...
Read moreWe were looking for a French dip for dinner. So we Googled French dip and this place popped up.
I'm going to start off that when we arrived it was packed the only place to sit was out on the patio with heat. So that was nice. Ordering your drinks and food was kinda confusing at 1st. But once they explained it it was simple. You order and they open a tab which makes it nice I think so u don't have to keep ordering and paying for drinks every time u order.
So now onto the the service. And again this place was packed to the brim. The service was spot on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And not to mention fast.
The food. So yes we tried the French dip. With a salad. Yes it was amazing. And then it came to us in under 10 min. So it was fast for how packed this place was.
Did I forget to say this place was packed lol.
They had live music there that was nice. But we saw people standing for a table so we ate and left so that others could enjoy what we did. Great food drinks and entertainment.
I will be back this place is a gem 💎. And it's pet...
