Great ice cream, shame the staff are a little off.
I had the chocolate, tahini, cookie one and a seasonal special - rocky road. Both delicious, good strong chocolate flavor, but not very distinct from each other.
The staff are warm enough, but unlike a popular local competitor, samples had to be asked for, and I ended up just going with the two I tasted as there seemed to be reluctance to offer other samples.
If you want to use the bathroom, don't wait like a dummy as I did. I asked at the counter if you needed a key as there didn't appear to be anyone using it, but was told there must be someone in there. Took up my waiting spot again for a couple more minutes before another customer came past and said, 'last time we were here we had to get them to unlock it'. Upon return to the counter, they said they'd send someone, but that took a good while for someone to come with the key on a funnel - why not just hand it over? The funnel was so big, there is no way I was walking out of there with it. Still, I guess they didn't know I was traveling without my key cutting machine to duplicate a key to get into a public restroom. By the time I finally was able to join my friends, they were almost done with their ice cream.
Outside space is cute. We stayed so long the natural light went and the lights they have out there made for a really sweet spot to hang...

This is the yummiest, most adorable, cute ice cream shop. All of the flavors I have tried are delicious. The beet strawberry rose is like a refreshing sorbet. The GF waffle cones are made onsite and served warm. Salted caramel ash caught my eye because it is actually gray. I’m fairly certain this is the item served in Beauty and the Beast when the Enchanted Dinnerware tell Belle to “try the gray stuff, it’s delicious!”
You can even buy tubs of their VEGAN and gluten free ice cream and/or cookies to go home!! This was such a delight and I’m so excited we found this particular location. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions for tourists. I enjoyed the slower pace encouraging the patrons to slow down and enjoy the moment. We will definitely be back! 😊
As a personal trainer and nutritionist, I aim to find balance in goal setting with any diet. Having an ice cream staple, as delicious as Frankie & Jo’s provides, really helps satiate a food craving so as not to over indulge in attempt to fill an unmet need. I recommend this shop and brand of ice cream to responsibly satiate your next...
Read moreI'm not one for plant-based versions of things especially for ice cream since most plant- based ice creams are not good at all, but when I saw IG photos of Frankie & Jo's ice cream, it looked amazing, and I felt that I had to try it someday. A while later after finally choosing to go there over Salt & Straw, my mind was blown. I eat meat, and I love ice cream. Whatever disadvantages of creaminess that come to mind over the term "plant-based" do not exist anymore. If Frankie & Jo's has done anything, they've changed "plant-based" texture to an advantage. I had to go there a second time before writing this review because I wanted to be absolutely sure before saying that it's the best ice cream, period. The texture in the photos does not lie. It's better than milk-based ice cream, and it's better than gelato. And where the texture doesn't disappoint, neither does the flavor. I'm not sure what sorcery caused this to be, but it might be the way such bold, non- traditional flavor/ingredient choices are integrated into the cream. The gluten-free waffle cone is also amazing. It's delicious yet not as brittle as most waffle cones. It's a real...
