On my way to work, stopped in for a tastey treat and the lady at the counter treated me a little differently then her previous customers. Granted, i was still wearing my PJs and had messy hair because it is a Saturday, and thats how i roll on Saturdays. The expression on her face seemed disapproving. However, i was polite and baught my morning goodies. I had some left over change that i used to pay, and she seemed annoyed by it. She was supposed to give me 2 pennys in change and she just closed the cash register. Also, there was a rack of free items to take on the way out. I guess she thought i didnt desreve any because she made it a point to let her previous customers know they can grab a free item, but she just walked away from me after the sale. Didnt even say have a good day. Maybe she thought i was homeless or something, but that would have made it even worse, because if i were homeless, chances would be, i would need the food. Which makes her a bread Nazi. Deciding who's worthy to get a free bread/food is a fascist ideology. I use to like going to this outlet. But i can spend my...
Read moreI've seen the Sodo Franz Outlet Store for years and had not visited until recently. I had not been to any of their outlet stores, so I was surprised at the selection and the prices. The store has bread on the fresher side as well as bread that is closer to expiration. They have a lot of different breads, rolls, cookies, and chips. When I visited they even had some special edition breads: peach cobbler and lemon crème - I didn't have the peach cobbler but the lemon crème bread surprisingly tasted really good. The bread was yellow like a pound cake and was slightly sweet and tart. Because it is an outlet store, the prices are low and I was able to get 5 loaves of bread for less than $10. The employees overall were friendly. One employee asked if it was my first time visiting and since it was she was kind enough to give me a rundown of how the store was set up. The cashier was also friendly and had a good sense of humor which I appreciated. I'm really glad I visited and will...
Read moreKey: My go-to store for bread and bakery items since their prices and selection are the most attractive things about this outlet store.
Experience: I've gotten two bags of sliced bread and a jar of strawberry jam for under $5. Normally when you get these 3 items in a grocery store, it will cost you about $10.
Parking: Free parking on-site and large parking lot just beside the store. It's very convenient to find and drive to in the sodo area.
Hours: Note their change in store hours during COVID before you go , see attached photo for updated times (rightmost paper in the photo).
Overall: I often stop by this store on my way to Costco when heading South since it's on the way. Highly recommended, you can...
