Husband and I bought a Groupon for this experience. We were very excited as it was our anniversary. We received a call about a week before our appointment asking us if we could change our appointment time (which wasn't a big deal). When we arrived the staff was very friendly and accommodating we were offered wine and/or water while we waited to be taken to our room. The room was nice and warm/cozy, the tub was stunning. We were greeted by 2 massage therapists, shown around the room and then we changed and the massage began. My husband's massage was pretty good but mine was not worth the money in any way. I feel like I literally paid hundreds of dollars for someone to just rub oil into my body. There was no pressure (even though they asked before the massage if we had areas that were sore or hurt and I specifically said my shoulder and neck), the massage table squeaked badly, and then about 10min into my massage I kept feeling a cold drip on my back. I didn't say anything for awhile as I thought it could be the oil... But it happened multiple times and in the same spot. Well the roof was leaking on my back during my massage. Very disappointing. We moved my table away from the drip and the "massage" continued. We ended up cutting our time short as we were really not very satisfied with the overall experience. Once downstairs the owner was there and he did apologize for the roof leaking (obviously not his fault, more the landlords issue) but even he said he'd be furious and he thanked me for being so gracious.... Honestly I was assuming they would offer us some sort of partial refund or maybe even a discounted service. But that was it. Just "So sorry, I've notified the landlord". I wouldn't recommend this place for the money it costs. It was unfortunate as we definitely had high hopes. I guess you...
Read moreMy wife and I just had a great evening at The Little Red Day Spa. We signed up for the couples massage class in the Art Suite. We arrived a little early and Irene greeted us at the front desk. She was super friendly, checked us in quickly and showed us to our room. It was our first time to the spa and Irene was great answering questions.
We didn't have to wait long before Ann Marie came to our room. She explained how everything works and made us feel comfortable right away. Attendance was light so we got to spend extra time with her. My wife and I took turns where Ann Marie showed me how to massage my wife and vice versa. My wife and I had never taken any kind of massage class before, but her instructions were easy to follow. She's obviously good at massage but Ann Marie is also a really good teacher. Ann Marie was able to show each of us a complete set of techniques… more than enough for us to practice for a while. Ann Marie was great at picking up on what we liked in terms of pressure, areas of focus, etc. She's super professional but really friendly and fun. We really clicked.
After our massage sessions we got to spend some time alone in the room. The Art Suite is amazing, The pictures on the web site don't do it justice. We didn't get a chance to try the tub but spent some time in the sauna and the shower was great. The room was immaculate. We loved the lighting and the Amazon device was an unexpected bonus. It really made the difference to be able to listen to whatever music we wanted.
This was a great introduction to the spa. My wife and I have been checking out other day spas in Seattle but this is by far the best experience we've had. Can't wait to go back and try the...
Read moreIts unfortunate that this spa employs such rude front desk staff.. their services may be good but I’ll never know because I won’t be going there after my experience with their horrible customer service.
I purchased a $300 package for the little red day spa through Groupon on Black Friday as a Christmas present. I was disappointed to see that it expired before Christmas. I called the spa thinking that would honor it or help me determine another solution (which other places have been obliged to do before). They were no help and told me to contact Groupon.. in the “I hate you but here’s my customer service voice” voice.
After going back to Groupon, turns out I could cancel the order and simply buy a new package for the same price! Why didn’t they tell me that at the spa? You think they would want customers and want to provide good customer service..
I planned to re-purchase the package even though I was a little sour about how unhelpful and indifferent they were on the phone. I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t expire quickly again if I bought a new one. Expiration date was nowhere to be found. I called the spa back to clarify. AGAIN they were of ZERO help. She just kept repeating herself that they know NOTHING about the Groupon package that THEY set up with Groupon. Also the manager or owner knows NOTHING about the Groupon. The craziest part is that I checked out their website and they are actually matching Groupon pricing.. so she literally could have just told me to purchase through them instead of being NO HELP. I seriously cannot understand how a place could be so unhelpful if they want customers at all. I won’t go there now even though I can buy the package directly through them for...
