I found out about Noel and Island Reclaimed Wood through Facebook Marketplace as I had been looking for a coffee table for quite some time. Scanning through his photos I got very excited about what I saw and even found a coffee table that fit the bill, so I ran downstairs to show my husband. We contacted him on the spot and within a very short time arranged to go down to his shop to see his selection of wood, his finished pieces of furniture and to discuss our project in more detail. Today this gorgeous table was delivered and it’s hard to believe it was only 8 days ago that we first met him! My words cannot adequately convey how impressive Noel is both as a human being and in the quality of his work - both for its craftsmanship and sublime beauty. For all of Noel’s easy going, friendly and warm manner, he also impressed us as a man of strong character and high standards who takes pride in every piece he creates, doing whatever it takes to get it done perfectly. He listened and tried to get a feel for what our preferences were in terms of wood selection and pattern, but also offered his input to guide us in refining some of the details. At different stages Noel sent us photos so we could see the grain of the wood, to get input on the live edges and to make sure we were satisfied. His furniture, for all its top of the line superlatives, is, in essence an outgrowth of who he is as a person. I cannot say enough good things about my entire experience with Noel. I recently bought a house and wanted a one-of-a-kind dining room table. I came across his business on FB market place and within a few minutes of inquiring, he replied, sent me photos of pieces he had that might work for what I was wanting, and we set up a time to meet. Two days later I was in his shop picking my piece and we collaborated together to come up with a plan for my table. He was straightforward and reasonable with pricing, especially considering his craftsmanship and the quality of his work. He kept me updated throughout the whole process all the way up until he was in my driveway delivering my table. The table is absolutely gorgeous... I chose a clear epoxy and a black metal base. He uses restaurant quality epoxy so that it’s easy to clean and doesn’t stain with spills, and is careful to not make it too shiny to avoid taking away from the natural wood grain details. His passion for craftsmanship is apparent in all of his incredible work and I couldn’t be happier with my table!!! Literally everything about my experience was smooth and Noel made the process fun... I felt like he was as excited about my table as I was!...

I had a wonderful experience working with Noel on several custom furniture pieces. I had been looking for an L-shaped desk for a corner of my home office. I was not inspired by the offerings at the retail and online stores. I stumbled upon Island Reclaimed Wood and found that I could get a cool custom desk for a similar price as the mass market retailers. I am really thrilled with how everything turned out.

Picking out the wood slab at his shop was fun. We were able to use a single slab with almost no waste. He used dowels and bolts to connect the two pieces of the desk. It is very solid with no wobble.

I got inspired to have a console and cocktail table made from a leftover piece in his shop. They came out great!
