When visiting Georgetown- this is a must go to. They pressure fry cook their chicken and it is absolutely amazingly delicious! Never dry and not super duper oily either. You get to add an extra piece of chicken for $2.00. They have you pick a side of french fries, Jo-Jos, Coleslaw, mac or potato salad. You can substitute Chili, onion rings or a side salad for $3.00. The 3 piece basket is $16.50. A killer deal in my opinion. We got the Marco Polo pub pretzel with spicy queso and mustard- it was huge for 4 people and the fried mushrooms which are always one of my favorites. They were sadly out of gizzards- so I just ended up getting an extra piece of chicken with my order tonight. Service is good- even on busier nights. They have 3 people waiting on tables, a bar back and a Chef in the kitchen. Always friendly and kind. Can get busy and loud in there as it gets later in the evening. We shared a table with other folks who were nice and had small talk with. Parking is sometimes hard to find- but it’s honestly worth the walk once you do find parking available. Lots of good beers on tap and a good variety of drinks to be had.

I sauntered into Marco Polo, that Georgetown institution flanked by dusty pool tables and a bewildering shrine to Cougars fandom, greeted by exactly 13 HDTVs and a server who looked like they’d seen more playoff upsets than I have avocados gone bad. I ordered their world‑famous broasted fried chicken—juicy inside, crackling outside—a perfect yin to two pitchers of crisp IPA. Crinkle fries were…well, crinkly. Fried pickles and jalapeño poppers landed with righteous grease bombs; chicken wings danced in buffalo dip. Service? Friendly, unhurried—a comforting reminder Seattle still remembers how to say “here’s your drink” without tapping an app. Ambiance is divey chic in the best way: dim, a little sticky, defiantly real. Weird? Absolutely. Worth it? Hell, yeah—it’s Seattle at its unapologetic, greasy best.

I heard about Marco Polo because of their broasted fried chicken, so I eventually made a visit. I visited after the typical lunch hour and there were a bunch of people still there or already there. The staff was friendly and the establishment dark. The fried chicken did take a little longer to cook because of the broasting process but it’s worth it. The chicken came out piping hot along with the jojos I ordered. Everything was crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I also appreciated all of the sauces they brought over to go with the food. My favorite sauce with the chicken was the ranch dressing they provided. I would definitely recommend the food and would return.

I visited Marco Polo on Wednesday February 12th around 1:30 in the afternoon. I came in after the lunch rush and sat at the bar the place was empty just a couple of tables. I ordered a three piece chicken with macaroni salad. My server told me it would take a half hour and I was appreciative of the heads up and told him that would be fine. When the chicken came out he took my three piece order to another table without checking tickets and left me with a two piece order. I was told he had screwed up and they would put in another piece of chicken. I finished the first two and waited about 10 minutes for my third piece to come out. It was a chicken wing!!! I received two wings and a thigh for $12.50. If this is a normal 3 piece chicken order I advise everyone to avoid this place at all cost as this is not worth the money. I mentioned the fact this was another chicken wing and all I got was a stare back in response. The servers appeared to be more interested in their own lunch order than accommodating the customers. I never even got an I'm sorry for the mix up. Horrendous...

I went to WSU and typically love coming here to watch coug games and enjoy their food. But this past visit was a let down. We ordered food 1hr before the game and didn’t get our food until 2 hrs later...we know it takes time for the chicken and so were patient but turns out they forgot our order. Then towards the end of the game there was an argument between two groups of fans with some racial comments. My boyfriend tried to step in and stick up for the minority.. and was quickly kicked out for calling out the men using the racial comments. It’s disappointing that this establishment accepts this kind of behavior and decides to kick out the people who stick up for the minority because it’s not okay the words being said.

We will not be coming here again as much as we have loved eating here and watching coug games, the racism that occurred is not a place we choose to be and where I’m sure most my coug alumn fans/friends would also choose NOT to...
