Ordered a bagel, toasted with butter. Check my first image. Under toasted... but nearly EVERYONE does that. Drowned in butter, though. Chewy outsides, light and nearly fluffy inside. That means... these are actual BAGELS, not the dreaded "bread doughnut." I went for a coffee stirrer to slide half of the butter off the bagel. Have to keep policing up sesame seeds and wiping buttery fingers to clean 'em. No eggs to go with it.

Pizza is a mainstay for lunch, and from what I can see, they probably rock at it.

We also got a scone. Monsterous size, and she likes it 'A LOT.' Mild application of sugary icing, very mild, perfectly done IMHO. It pulls apart in nice bite sized portions, very few crumbs are lost to the effort. Had to edit... this thing is nothing short of AMAZING!! SO glad we got 2 to go, and now wonder what they offer in the mornings that we never saw. Impressive!!

The coffee is flavorful. Many places want to make sure their offerings are not upstaged by the brew. This tries, being a 'Cherry Dried' roast which holds its own with an accomplished bakery.

Walking up, the windows show off the kitchen. Three people were working a vat of dough turned out. Weighing out what might be full sheet pizza portions, as well as rolling bagels together. Though I see someone working a round pie pan.

Polished concrete flooring, fairly sparse amenities. At least we aren't paying for an expensive interior. A rough dozen 4 tops, metal chairs, and a long shared table near the espresso station with a few at a counter by the other front window.

Parking in front is limited, but at least there is some. Lynn St. offers a few angle in slots as well. A cast iron shame this isn't in MY 'hood, or I'd forgo freezing split Bagel Oasis jobbers for fresh ones here daily. Maybe I...

This place is NOT Sea Wolf by any means. The people that interact with customers are at times as tasteless as the food. Bagels are mediocre at best, small, and tasteless with the wrong consistency. The Scones are a total joke, overdone, not very original, dry, and WAY overpriced. The products aren't even shown in a tasteful way, but rather on a baking sheet and the cooler is sparse and uninviting. They run out of bread early, and often, and you get to wait in line for twenty minutes to find out that they are out of bread. I suggested that perhaps a sign indicating that they were sold out of products might help those in line, but was treated horribly for just asking, by a nasty employee. The possibilities are endless, but Oxbow today, is a big waste of money and time, paying a lot for attitude and mediocre food. Go to the real Sea Wolf if you are looking for taste and comfort. I know I will.

Ok, it's been over a year now, and I really want to like this place, but the disappointment continues. The barista, working a beautiful La Marzocco Linnea espresso machine, took my order, of a latte and a mocha, charged me with $13.85 which is a big number, and then gave me the two drinks covered in all bubbles and not a single solitary bit of foam on top. The two worst looking drinks for the most money. Wow, is no one in Oxbow looking at what you are putting out for this kind of money? You've pushed across the street, and there I will stay, wondering how people stand for such a poor presentation of a Seattle staple. Shame...

Oxbow comes to the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market and it is always my first stop (I literally run to their stand to get in line). I am in LOVE with their cheese buns/rolls (I get 3-5 each time). Their pecan rolls are also the best I’ve had since moving to Seattle.

The gentleman who runs the stand at the market is SO kind and goes out of his way to make sure I have a great experience. I’m undergoing chemotherapy for Stage 4 Lung Cancer and this is one of the only foods that I actually crave and can eat during treatment. The value for the money is exceptional too (cancer sure has a way of making finances tight).

I haven’t made it to their storefront yet, but it is on my to do list as it looks like they have even more scrumptious options to try there. I can’t wait to try the bagels with cream cheese, pizza and coffee selection.

Thank you Oxbow for keeping me fed during treatment and for always putting a smile on my face during one of the hardest times of my life. It means more...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a solid 4-star bakery. Everything we've had thus far at Oxbow has been delicious. The ham and Swiss cheese sandwiches were delicious; the bread has a nice chewy crust and bouncy yet firm interior. The bagels with scallion schmear was perfectly chewy and tasty. The peanut butter halva was similar to a peanut butter fudge but better and not as sweet. And the buckwheat chocolate chip cookie was delicious - crunchy and crispy without being tough. Where I deducted 1 star was on their pizza. It just didn't hit it for us. The crust was tough like cardboard and super chewy. The toppings were OK and inventive, but lacked salt and were really dry. The price was good - can't really beat $4.30/slice but the taste and flavor just weren't that satisfying. It tasted like the dough had been overworked and cooked too long. I would skip the pizza and focus on the baked goods, bagels and sandwiches.
