Place is good for pho, but if you're looking for some traditional Vietnamese family style dishes, they're good for that too! The menu is only two pages with it filled with most of the usual pho vermicelli and rice combo dishes but the nice touches are the family style dishes and the cream puffs! The cream puffs are what you would expect of any good Viet restaurant with them not being too sweet. I love the durian smoothie here, and my kids enjoy the mango smoothie and occasionally the avocado smoothie. If you're looking for good Viet food for a decent price with ample parking within south Seattle, give this place a shot. Also the owners are awesome, same people as Tony's bakery 2 doors down! Support these awesome folks!

The latest incarnation of Viet food in this space may be the best of all. We got takeout - the Saigon's Garden Special (grilled pork, pork skin, grilled short rib, steamed egg cake over broken rice and topped with a fried egg). Also the Grilled Pork, Prawn, shrimp cake and egg roll vermicelli bowl. Both with a side of fish sauce (with mae ploy). First of all, the smells when I opened the bag were lovely. Second, each to-go box was absolutely filled to the brim. And, third, besides the listed ingredients, each dish had plenty of fresh veg and herbs for garnish. In an area loaded with Vietnamese restaurants, this may go on our "always good" list.

We went for a take out today. The kitchen and all the workers were so overwhelmed. I understand that people can’t think straight when it’s chaotic. We order a pho and asked for no onions, and Bahn mi without jelepeno and cucumber. We got all of what we didnot need—but that’s okay. What I’m not okay for is that you guys gave us RAW meat in the Pho. I guess I couldn’t have eaten the pho if I didn’t have a stove? What if I want to just open the container and eat it in my car? It looks like an unexceptable mistake to me. I’m so disappointed.

I visited Saigon’s Garden in South Seattle for the first time, joining my partner’s parents (who live nearby and enjoy this spot) and bringing my mom, who was visiting from out of town. We stopped in for lunch and ordered a variety: several different phởs, a noodle soup, rice plates with chicken, pork, and short ribs, plus a bún bò huế. Everyone enjoyed their meals overall.

My beef brisket phở had a decent amount of meat, though the broth leaned salty and the flavor was just okay compared to others I’ve had. (I’ve traveled in Vietnam and neighboring countries, so my palate might be a little spoiled!) The rice on my plate was a bit dry, but the chicken itself had really good flavor. Pricing is fair — around $15 per dish, which is reasonable for portion sizes.

Service could use improvement. There were only two other tables occupied, yet we had to ask for water refills, and the preloaded silverware setup hadn’t been restocked, so we had to request it. The two younger women working the front were friendly enough but not particularly attentive. Since this was my first time, I can’t say if that’s the norm or just that day.

Overall, it’s a solid neighborhood option with fair prices and good food. I’d go back if my partner’s parents suggest it again, but I wouldn’t make the drive...

Our first outing here today with our baby! This is a popular spot for dinner, but thankfully there was space for our stroller! We went on a Friday evening after 5pm, and it was jamming. Spacious and bright inside- it was nice to see other families with small children here. Where we sat was a little noisy since it was under the music speaker, plus side* greenery/plant arrangement was nice to look at, since we were right next to it. Waitress was friendly and prompt to get our waters on table, bring our food out, and ring us up, Excellent pho, calamari, and vermicelli bowl. Extra plus for having an EXCELLENT food rating! We will be coming back soon to try more...
