They used to be nice here. The tables (are very filthy most of the time and in desperate need of replacing, as are the booths.) it just doesn't feel clean. And she her mgr doesn't seem to care at all when the CUSTOMER goes and says "could I please get a paper towel to clean the table and chair?" The mgr actually hands them one. (😂)like it's the poor customer's job!
"Grimy" is the perfect description. It just feels dirty and run down. Partly due to this specific mgr for the last year or so (she /her , glasses shorter brown hair petitish) is really rude and abrupt to customers and another similar male version (he /him, it's SO SEATTLE lol, who is one of her lead barristas is also dismissive, gaslights or ignores some customers then have their own FAVORITES).
OK (Time to clean house as these two appear to be besties and they definitely DON'T represent the Starbucks customer friendly that we've known and grown to love!)
The GREAT PART about this store, is the spectacular location! They community is pretty nice and actually put up w the bad customer service. And they deserve better!
It's really quite lovely, situated in the Green lake neighborhood, which is why it does get a lot of RAVE reviews. But seriously, the company has let the interior get really run down in. Starbucks needs to fire and hire a new fresh new management team and bring in a new feeling of warmth and happy. Btw it wouldn't hurt to mix it up and put in a few super nice experienced OVER 35 year old employees. Know what I mean?
Since there aren't any here at Green lake and there are a lot of over 50+ and seniors that come here!!!
Not the "clique" that play their OWN favorite LOUD music, Rap (which is just getting so tired!)chit chat about their personal lives for all to hear and sometimes just ignore the customers.
Relaxing music (Brazil Samba, New Age Water, You know "Seattle Chill" ) would be kinda nice, since that is the vibe here with the beautiful lake and all the little animals across the way... . Food: please bring back the great salads and more snack boxes. Everyone loved them!!! The protein boxes are across the board perfect for the majority of folks in the go.. Too many sandwiches and too much meat... How about more vegetarian as well? Because they're a lot of vegans and vegetarians, in this area. Just a thought. 💡 Hopefully, the new CEO will bring in excellent trained servers and a sunny affable manager to run the show (not the sour puss w a scowl on (she /her) face. Since they're raising the price of coffee AGAIN! Oh and since Nicholls fixed the Chipotle " teeny weeny scoop of food issue". Can we work on," We can only give a TABLESPOON🥄 of 🥛 "!!! We think you can afford it. Thank you...
Read moreVery incompetent and rude workers. Waited at least 10 or 15 minutes if (not more ) until I had to ask where is the order . then I had to prove that I made the order (my skin color is brown so I have to prove things of course in Starbucks. ) Eventually they said they missed my order !! Interestingly she didn't ask my name when I was ordering which was odd as all other orders apparently had a name tag on it (which makes me think it was intentional to make sure I don't go there anymore) . Anyway no apologies or nothing ! They were treating me like I'm standing there to steal a drink or to get a free drink while they missed my order. I rather to go somewhere to be treated respectfully . Eventually they offered me a wrong drink which had another's name on it. Which i think it was given back by another customer or it was there for ages . When I asked to remake a new one and I don't like the drink , they lied and they said they just made it. Basic hygiene doesnt exit there . Left the drink there and left the shop. Wasted my time which is more important than few dollars.
P.s: I spoke with my friends at apparently since it is illegal to have a sign that says do not enter if your skin is brown ( like few decades ago which was legal ) , some shops show bad service and bad attitude intentionally to toward people of color so they don't use their shop again. I'm not sure if this is true about this shop or generally as I don't have any proof. But that was the advised I got and I thought it is something interesting to add. I hope this is not...
Read moreThis is a wow moment at Starbucks. I went there this morning to get a Peach Tranquility tea. The same tea I get at any Starbucks across the country. There's a box of it sitting by the other teas, so no problem, right?
So I order a venti peach tranquility tea. The barista says, "sorry, we can't sell you that anymore." I'm like, huh? You know the "huh" where you turn your head sideways like a dog when someone blows a whistle, yeah, that kinda huh!
"It's right there on the counter", I said. The barista then went on to say that they have it, but can't sell it to people for hot tea because they use it in another drink mixed with some minty lemonaide concoction that i was not familiar with at all. Why would I be, it's like 50 degrees in Seattle, I'm thinking hot drinks might make more sense this time of year, but, how am I?
My buddy (who was with me) thought she was pulling our leg and he began to protest suggesting she can't be serious. Oh, she was serious, no hot tea for you...Luckily, I had a stash of, well Stash decaf tea in my bag so I politely asked for a cup of hot water which she gave me for free (that's the reason I didn't give this review a zero star rating ;-)).
Honestly, I am still wondering if she was just gaslighting me. I half expected Alec Baldwin to come out and tell me peach tranquility tea is for closers. What just...
