The bar for "Mediterranean" and Middle Eastern food in Seattle is very very low. I felt compelled to write a review for this place because it's actually very good. In Seattle this is the best Greek food I've had (excluding Omega Ouzeri which is more like Greek fusion).
There were the usual Seattle "Greek" food red flags that prevented me from eating this sooner. Greek salad with lettuce. Hummus on the menu (which is not Greek). Falafel?! But I was really craving Greek and I don't regret trying this place out.
The food quality was surprisingly good (my expectations were very low). The chicken skewer was grilled nicely. The toppings on the gyro weren't amazing but not horrible. I would give the souvlaki a solid 7/10.
What I really enjoyed were the mezze. The melitzanasalata had a great smoked eggplant flavor and it wasn't too sour (8/10). The tzatziki had a fresh dill flavor, not very garlicky, it was decent (7/10). The hummus (not Greek) was actually really enjoyable. It didn't have a strong tahini flavor, and it was more garlicky than traditional hummus (which I really liked, 8/10). The Skordalia was decent but not very flavorful (6/10). The Tyrokafteri was amazing. I haven't had it like this before anywhere else. I really loved it. I'm not sure if I've ever had it with dill and whether that's traditional. I think it worked really well (10/10).
Overall that averages to about a 4/5. Looking forward to having this meal again! This is possibly the best Greek...

Starting off, the pita was absolutely packed with filling - to the point where it was basically impossible to try and eat anything without it spilling out profusely. There was just so much contained in here, and it made for a messy yet beautiful eating experience
The pita was cooked perfectly, and acted as a great container for everything. The outsides were charred well from the pan-toasting, and it managed to hit the right balance between not-too-hard to act as too much of a barrier and not-too-soft to pass through too easily The amount of vegetables in here was also pretty insane. It was filled with iceberg lettuce, but I liked the tomatoes, and especially how full it was with onions. The onions really stuck out to me and elevated the overall taste
What was the real star of the show here though, was the meat. This was really, really good stuff - it's probably the best gyro meat I've ever had. You could tell this was fresh because of how crispy it somehow was. Each individual piece had so much flavor to it - it was unreal. It somehow managed to be both crispy and juicy at the same time - particularly the beef. Also, the tzatziki sauce was both plentiful and fantastic
For the price of around 12 dollars, the amount of food you get here is a lot, and it's a fantastic deal
Overall, this might be the best gyro I've had in Seattle. If I ever get a chance to I'd love to try the Greek fries...
Read moreMarch 2025 We were staying nearby, and this seemed like a good place for dinner. The place is dimly lit, with 2-4 people tables and one 8 people square table. There is also a waiting bench by the order counter.
The staff took a while to notice and seat us. It seems most of the customers order takeout at the counter or online. The staff also wait until a customer arrives to clean off used tables. Note they do charge extra for bags and containers if doing takeout.
The tablecloth was sticky. They gave us a 1 liter pitcher of water. The staff were polite, but mostly left us alone. We had to go up to the counter to pay afterwards.
The food was delicious and well cooked. The avgolemeno soup tasted like lemon chicken in soup form, with a very prominent lemon taste. We got a side dish of gyro meat, served as long slices. It was very yummy, with a tiny bit of crisp along the edges. Also decently moist for gyro meat. The chicken skewers were white meat and little bit dry. The lamb skewers were moist, though a little bit chewy and tough. The pita was fluffy and chewy, excellent. The orzo was also excellent, chewy and melty.
They have 1 men and 1 women bathrooms. Note they are small and cramped, definitely not for a handicapped person. They were clean and dry, but not very well maintained. They were missing seat covers and the roll of paper towels was sitting on the counter.
Overall, good food and ok service. We would probably...
