My boyfriend and I tried to eat here the other day on a Friday, and here's a little about our experience. The location is inside of the Clock Out Lounge, a bar that has live music. I'd been here once before with friends, and I thought the pizza was okay. The wait for food was long that time, too. I'm from Chicago, which has a strong pizza culture, so I try not to be a snob. I initially thought the flavors were okay, specifically the sauce. I'm not a fan of New York style because of the floppy crust and tendency to be over sauced, but you make do with what's around, and that's all that's in Seattle.
This visit, my boyfriend and I were gonna order a whole pie and salad to eat in. Pricey, 16-inch pizza at $31 bucks and small salad at $8. After standing in line and discussing what to order, I went over to the bar and got two drinks and two jello shots. In the time it took me to get drinks and find a table, I noticed my boyfriend was still in line. I sat at the table and had a couple of sips, and noticed my boyfriend looking over at me with an irritated expression. I got up to go over to him, and by the time I arrived, some tall dude was at the register asking for his order. My boyfriend orders and we're told it'll be 50 minutes. My boyfriend is exasperated at this point because it took well over 10 minutes for this guy who had been in and out of the kitchen and past the register a few times to acknowledge him. As my boyfriend makes a frustrated noise, the guy says it's a Friday evening like it's an excuse. He then goes on to say we don't need to stay and / or come back at all. My boyfriend walks off, while the guy is saying he only stood in line for like 5 minutes. That was a long 5 minutes. I then responded that they need to have better service.
This is something I've noticed about Seattle. Everyone here is okay paying for overpriced, sub-par food, and shitty service, like it's a cool experience. If you're gonna charge more than your competitors, make sure you have a superior product as well as superior service. My boyfriend was born and raised in Seattle, so this isn't just me being biased, and we'd just got back from a trip to Chicago. The differences in dining experiences were night and day. Great food, cooked well, and great service at a less obnoxious price. Honestly, just go to Pagliacci. You'll at least get a consistent product that's almost half the cost and...

To me, in order of importance to a slice's success is it's crust, it's cheese, it's sauce and then at a very tiny distant 4th place is its toppings.
Stevie's crust is the star, rather sourdoughy and densely chewy. Somewhere in the NYC Slice - Neopolitan range. Intense char on the crust says Neopolitan played some influence. Very impressive, especially in this city of floppy dough.
Cheese was acceptable, but needs the most love. A bit scant, but flavorful. This is one of those slices where you have a lot of no cheese bites. Maybe it's to let the crust and sauce shine, but I would have preferred a bit more coverage. Maybe one of their other types of pizza has a more solid covering, will definitely try again.
Sauce was awesome. Heavy on the sour rich end, not a hint of sugar detected. That plus the chunks of Parm made this a super savory experience. Unfortunately this was a bit light on sauce as well as cheese. Yes this makes the crust shine, but there were certainly a few sundried tomato tart like bites.
Finally beyond the fundamentals, the topping of pepperoni was a bit scant. About 7 of the little upturned cup types on a slice. Nicely singed.
$6.5 a slice strikes me as absurd, but I'll be back. Someone mentioned these are large slices, they are definitely not. They are exactly average size slices - 1/8 of a 16" pie.
TLDR - best crust in Seattle maybe? But a bit skimpy on cheese sauce and toppings and not cheap on price.
But if it's quality you care about, you'll still love Stevies even with its...
Read moreHeard great things about this place so I knew I had to try. I went the day after Thanksgiving and not only was the restaurant open exactly on time they were also super welcoming and already had a variety of hot, fresh slices ready to go. This was already super impressive to me.
The staff was incredibly nice, and the interior was surprisingly huge with cool, classic pictures and an overall chill, bar vibe.
I appreciated the flavors of pizzas they had on offer and the prices for them. The crust has a slight char, while still retaining a nice chew. The thinner style crust paired nicely with the robust, rich tomato sauce and light cheese topping. Would definitely recommend this place...
