First time trying Boss Tea at this MLK location and it wasn't a good experience. My friend asked the young male cashier about what's in a Hurricane Matcha, he replied rudely just "Matcha". We had to ask again, and he proceeded to reply bluntly "Cream, Milk, Matcha". After we ordered, I wanted to ask how long they've been opened, and I know I projected it loud and clear to the cashier, who was 2-3 feet away and facing me, only to be completely ignored.
I could be giving him the benefit of the doubt that he could be busy and might've not heard it, but it doesn't change the fact that our first time here was not a good experience. To add, the viet sandwich that we had was $7. Hate to be blunt here but it is the truth, that the sandwich was small, cold, with very little pate, and a whole lot of soy sauce. My friend and I couldn't finish it because it is not a good banh mi. In terms of drinks, it was also disappointing. My friend got the Taiwanese milk tea, which tasted artificial. We wondered if they used powder instead of actual tea as we drink enough bubble tea to recognize that after taste. I got the Tiramisu coffee latte, and honestly, it just taste like the good ol Vietnamese coffee ca phe sua da for $6.
At the end of the day, my friend and I laughed it off, but I also want to share my experience, and will not be coming back. Everything is expensive nowadays and I don't mind the pricing if the quality is there, as well as the customer service. Overall, a rather disappointing experience here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnother update. They donāt cook their ingredients on the spot for Bahn Mi and it does not taste fresh anymore. I donāt recommend to get their Banh Mi anymore.
Update: I have tried Duck Banh Mi, Lobster Banh Mi , spring rolls and chicken curry. My favorite is their spring rolls so far.
New face in town. Great place to get BAHN MI and drinks. Their Banh Mi selection was more unique in a sense that they offer, duck, egg & avocado, kimchi& beef, make your own banh mi. For drinks, tea and coffee ( Vietnamese coffee is available). Boba selections were interesting. Crystal boba, matcha boba, some other boba that I have not seen before. They also offer other Vietnamese dishes and deli. No seatings. Take out only. Parking in the back. I tried A1 ( pork) because it was recommended by someone and it was delicious. Tea was also good. It was a bit sweet though. I believe you can tell them how sweet you would like for a certain extent. I want to try their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām very disappointed on my latest experience here , I always come here to get a Vietnamese sandwich, and itās so delicious. I barely order bubble tea and I ordered Oolong milk tea and it was so bitter and not what I expected. I went inside to see if I could exchange my drink for something Iām familiar with and the guy in the front did not provide good customer service. He refused to make another drink for me after I told him that the drink he made for me wasnāt good and he kept saying our boss doesnāt allow that. So Iām just curious you guys donāt allow making things right for your customers that pay to eat here. So disappointing . I wonāt be coming here ever again. Thank you so much...
