The Whit's End was the best random find ever. I'm a Seattle citizen, born and raised. It's rare for me to find hidden gems like this one. Not at all the food service places in WA can claim they have the best. But The Whit's End hands down has one of the best Philly's I have ever had. Not to mention the portion size, I ate this thing over two meals. The service is amazing the bartenders know exactly how to make you the perfect drink even if you don't know what you want. I recommend if you are looking for a chill night with good food and drinks, hit this place up any day. It's small but mighty!

It's my favourite neighborhood bar. With a plethora of activities most evenings, you get to experience a lot Trivia nights, open microphone night, Karaoke nights, live music, you've got it all The drinks are reasonably priced. A good collection of drafts on the tap and a wide array of cocktails to choose from I do come here often mainly for the bartender's. Chad, Heather and JJ. they make you feel welcome and comfortable There is darts, a pool table (1$ a game) and lots of arcade games to choose from and also a free foosball table.

The Whits End! Good food, good atmosphere, good drinks. I had to try a chopped cheese and this was the spot! The chopped cheese was good and the cheesesteaks were also very good....I took one to go, so that let's you know. Will have to visit a few more times to give it the go to spot stamp, but for now it is should try joint! Food provided by Tres House of Cheesesteaks!

This is an edit. First time just left a one star review without writing a comment because I truly did not want to relive the uncomfortable experience I had with the owner/bartender. However after seeing my review, which was just a star with no words at all, the owner/bartender writes disparaging comments and calls me out publicly on here by my full name. He spent time hunting down my name for this reason. I am a victim of past violence and this is bulling and is completely unbecoming of the owner of a business.

Here is what the owner responded to my simple star: “lol, Jennifer E Tricarico, you're permanently 86'd from The Whit's End for accosting employees, only the 3rd person to earn such a badge at Whit's, good luck!”

What prompted this? I asked if I could give the bar dog water. Yup that is it. He then treated me like I was stupid for suggesting a dog should have water then proceeded to rub my arm. I called him out on touching me by simply saying “May I give you some feedback? Just so you know that made me uncomfortable.” He then went off on me and rambled about how everyone loves him, he has 4.5 reviews and for me to leave. I waited by the door for my boyfriend who was finishing up with the lovely cheesesteak guys and left. Not sure where the “accosted employees” came from since he touched me and I responded with constructive feedback. Not loud, no swearing, just please don’t touch me. Which any caring human being would have responded with ‘sorry I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable’, or something along those lines.

I have owned a house on Phinney for well over a decade. I am not drunk barfly who got 86’d. I am a working professional who stopped in to pick up a sandwich. I should be able to do that without being rubbed by a man I don’t know. I should also be able to post an opinion in opposition of this business owner (remember it was just a star) without being disparaged and bullied.

This retaliation made me read the other comments. Pushing down drunk woman. He’s a gem….

One last word: the cheese steaks are amazing. Just beware of paws behind the bar. Better yet get the sandwich and go anywhere else to enjoy it.

Second edit. After talking to my boyfriend I realized the only way he would know my full name is by going through the credit card receipts. My profile only has my initials. My full name including middle initial is on nothing other than my credit card for which we paid with. I believe posting my full name would equate to stalking and bullying....

Was walking around and saw the cocktail light was on in the window and that the door was propped open with a fan so I opened the door and the guy at the bar was incredibly rude. “Isn’t it obvious we’re not open!?” I said I wouldn’t say it was obvious but okay, and went to leave. He came to the door and yelled “did you really think we were open? What’s wrong with you?” Well the door was propped open and the lights in the window are on, so yea thought you were open. Haven’t been before and most definitely will not be back. There’s plenty of bars in the area with much better staff.

Edit: UPDATE My recommendation is to change your google hours as it says you were open at the time. I’m going to let his response speak for...

The owner, whose name I was told was Chad, shoved an intoxicated woman to the ground while I was trying to help her outside. She was having an episode, threw water, and was upset, so he put his hands on her and repeatedly shoved her to the ground while yelling in her face. I didn't know the woman, but his treatment of her was completely unacceptable. The woman working the bar, Devin, was understanding about having water thrown in her direction. She even tried to help me keep Chad from shoving the woman any more than he already had. Devin understood that the woman was triggered, and helped me get her home safely. All in all, it was a very...
