Update in response to the business’ explanation: A little goes a long way. A quick explanation with the information you gave here would have taken mere seconds in person, and would have avoided misunderstanding and frustration. In regard to closing time, you could have put up the closed sign and locked the door to prevent new arrivals, while allowing me a little extra time to decide on a purchase, which I was ready to do moments before, until it appeared my business didn’t matter to you. I came in eager to buy something. I understand the demands of sales and running a business, and the toll it takes on you, especially when you’re exhausted. If you are able to run yours successfully by turning down a sale and making guests feel like they’re being shooed out the door with your broom, kudos to you. A little extra welcoming finesse goes a long way.
Very disappointed. I was ready to buy a few bottles of red wine, and perhaps try some bitters. I happened to be in the neighborhood this Saturday evening (visiting from the Eastside) when I spotted Cheeky & Dry. The person that half-heartedly assisted me was more eager to let me know they were closing in five minutes (I didn’t realize they closed at 6pm) than she was to sell me anything. They lost my business the second she made it clear she didn’t think I was going to spend enough money here to bother allowing me to sample the Syrah: “Not tonight unfortunately. We’re closing in five minutes,” she said. After we left and the closed sign was set in place (prior to 6pm), she then allowed other patrons in. Perhaps they were friends/family. Regardless, a sure sign of poor customer service and sales skills is shooing away a potential sale in this manner. I came in willing to spend a decent amount, and left with a bad taste in my mouth, which was sadly not even due to a wine that wasn’t quite...

An adorable, amazing shop run by lovely people! I was offered tasting of spirits and suggested pairings! I’ll be going back for more! The options for NA spirits, beer, and CBD drinks are vast and everything I’ve chosen in my first few visits has been excellent. In addition to the endless NA options, Cheeky & Dry values community. They support local artists and I noticed crafts during my first visit in which you could support a sober loved one. Plus their merch is adorable! Kirstin and staff are the best, and I highly recommend a visit to...
