Union N Eritrean and Ethiopian bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Seattle

Went there with someone at around 6pm or so. The place seem to have a nightclub vibes. Loud music and darker settings. We ordered two tibsis and habesha beers. The server greeted us and sounded friendly at the beginning. Our food came relatively faster since the restaurant didn't have that many people. Our food wasn't cooked well and was fatty. The injera was good and plenty to make both of us full. The server then left for the day before we had to pay and leave. The second server came with a credit card reader that has no payment or order details but large tip percentages. I was confused since I didn't get a chance to review the payment details you usually see in all restaurants. I selected a percentage anyway and I was expecting her to give me a receipt. That never happened. Then I asked her for a receipt and she proceeded to tell me that she has no idea what we had. I was not expecting that but I politely told her what we had before she contacted the owner. She came back and apologized for the fact that the server had left already and she doesn't know bla bla... It was my first time to go there and I am sure I will never be back. Very low customer service. I am not sure how they are rated at more than 4 stars. Terrible place run by...

Food: The beef was flavorful but was not tender and was very fatty. I feel like it's hit or miss as I've come a few times and it was satisfactory (that's the .5⭐)

Service: Unwelcoming! The only time staff communicated with us was to take our order, we had to take it up on ourselves to ask for drinks. When the food came out it wasn't what we ordered so I let the lady know. The server rolled her eyes as she was taking the food back and said they couldn't change it!! However, if we place a new order they could correct it and charge us for the incorrect order🤔😆.

Ambiance: music is loud (possibly why there was a miscommunication), dark club vibe.

Check out DELISH if you're looking for excellent, fast and attentive service! Would have gone here but their kitchen was closed (95 degrees out) smaller but home...

I’ve been a regular at this establishment, but my recent visits have left me quite frustrated. First and foremost, the noise level is consistently overwhelming. Every time I walk in, the music is blaring, making it difficult to enjoy my meal or have a conversation.

Additionally, I’ve felt undervalued as a customer. On my last visit, I noticed a discrepancy between the menu prices and what I was charged. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was informed that the prices on the menu were outdated and that they would be updating them next week. This lack of transparency is concerning, especially since I often choose to spend my money here.

I truly hope the management takes these...
