Taqueria Costa Alegre — Restaurant in Seattle

I had the chicken tacos. 3 of them. I wanted to get the lengua but im abstaining from beef and pork. Flavorful and tasty. And i like that the tortillas are, I believe made in-house and not supermarket bought. I am visiting from Austin, TX (generally I prefer blue collar food trucks/restos there) and I can sort of tell how traditional tacos should be like. This place is one of them.

Friendly and welcoming service. Lady who took my order was very nice.

It's affordable but not the largest of portions. I don't mind that as long as the food is good and fresh. Quality of quantity, right.

Cash only. They have a sign outside and inside saying this. Come prepared.

I truly love not only the charm of this little taco bus, with its cute little dining area and the great location but I also love the people who work this little joint. The sweet couple running this taco truck are wonderful people, so kind welcoming and friendly, very happy to share their culture and heritage through food with people of all walks of life! The food is absolutely delicious, and they truly care about their customers, even going above and beyond to give me a little surprise today, something I have asked about in the past but sadly is not in their regular menu. So good! I hadn't been here until today and really liked it. The food was good with fresh ingredients.. The service was good and let me know almost exactly how long my order would take to cook. I came for lunch and there were several kids from high school across the street, there. I stood in the line of people waiting for their orders and they helped point me to the line where I could make my order. It was clear they had love and respect for this place, too. All good signs....
