The food was good, but it was a weird experience going through the drive-thru. The young man helping us didn't want to talk to us, so we couldn't explain to him we were missing some of our order. He would open the window and close it quickly. After waiting for 3 or 4 minutes, he opened the window long enough to tell him we needed ketchup, and he quickly closed the door again. He opened the door and gave us the ketchup, and quickly closed the window. We were still missing our blizzard and ice-cream sunday. He was standing right inside the window, staring at the wall while we were still sitting there. He ignored us until another employee approached him and had him look out and see that we were sitting there. We sat there at least another 5 minutes. The whole drive-thru is backed up. He opened the door and we told him we were missing our ice cream. I watched him open a freezer door right in front of him and grabbed our blizzard and gave it to us, and closed the window again. Here we go again because we still don't have our Sunday!! Another minute or 2, and the employee asked him to check on us, so he opened the window and we 6 him we still needed our sunday. Again, it was in the freezer right in front of him. Not a word was ever spoken from him. We could have been in and out in 5 minutes, but we were there a good 15 minutes, and our food and ice cream was made and waiting the whole time. Like I said... the food was good but the whole experience was really...
Read moreI felt that my earlier review was a bit harsh so I decided to revise it. The bottom line is that the fudge on the Peanut Buster Parfait is supposed to be "hot" per the menu.
No reasonable person expects it to be "piping" hot but the four times I have purchased it here over the past six months the fudge has been ice cold which led to my review.
Unfortunately, the temperature of the fudge makes a huge difference in the taste of this menu item (try it yourself). It tastes like half as good if the fudge is cold. Perhaps no one put it in the refrigerator but instead it was simply made early on and the ice cream made the hot fudge turn cold by the time I got to the window.
Either way, it would be nice for the fudge on this product to be warm to even some marginal degree when it is handed to the ravenous customer.
Warm fudge on Peanut Buster Parfaits makes the world go round and makes babies smile. It is a proven scientific fact that babies can be permanently traumatized by the slightest taste of cold fudge on a Peanut Buster Parfait and they'll never forget it even into old age. In other words, please save the babies. Also, save the whales while you're at it too who probably also enjoy hot fudge over cold as well. Although whales probably can't safely eat fudge, but I...
Read moreI order a chocolate dipped cone. After I was out of the parking lot I noticed the cone was 2/3 dipped at best, and the chocolate tasted old and watered down. Since I live 30 minutes away I did not return to the store. I have contacted the national DQ office and they sent me some lame "we will pass this on to the store" email. That was 3 weeks ago I have gotten no contact from the Sedalia MO store. There are a lot of other Ice cream options in Sedalia and I guess I will start to frequent them instead of a store that doesn't back up its product. Its just a dipped cone and no contact. Very sad customer service. Owner contacted me and sent my gift card and was very concerned with the situation. I appreciate him stepping up and being fair. I Will give the DQ in Sedalia another try thanks to the owner. I appreciate him contacting me and making...
