I am very disappointed in the Sedalia Mazzio kitchen staff and manger on duty. My family of 6 was at this location for 2 hours and never received our full order on Sunday Oct. 13th. There was only other tables in the restaurant and one waitress that I saw. We ordered cheese dippers, 2 small pizzas, 1 medium pizza, 1 calzone ring and 10 wings. We got the cheese dippers pretty quickly, 20 minutes later we got the calzone, 20 minutes after that we got 1 small pizza, 30 later the waitress asked what we were waiting on. At this time she mentioned that the kitchen was making mistakes and making double orders on some things, 15 minutes after the we got the medium pizza, and 10-15 she brought the wings. At this time I told her to cancel my pizza (the other small) because we had already been there so long I did not want to wait for them to make it. When I went up to pay for the order, I did not want to make a scene so I wrote on my receipt a comment stating that I want my tip to go to my waitress only and not to be shared with the kitchen staff because they were horrible. My sister was behind me waiting to pay her receipt. The cashier made a rude comment about me and upset my sister. The cashier then raised her voice to my sister and my sister in turned raised her voice and asked to speak to a manger. The cashier threw her receipt on the floor started laughing and your meals free because we are ridiculous. My sister told her no she would pay but she wanted a manager to which the cashier laughed and doubled over and continued laughing and finally said I am the manager. My sister asked again to be able to pay for her meal to which the “manager” pointed to the pin pad and said don’t you see it there. When my sister inserted her card the “manager” clapped her hand laughed and in a childish snide tone “there you go”. If this person really is a manager she needs some more training. I am a manager in customer service and if I had read that I would have asked follow up questions not say rude things about it to the next customer. If the kitchen staff is making double orders that is not is going to affect the sales and profit of your business, because we were not the only table waiting on late food. Also your “manager” with an attitude like that is going to hurt your rests reputation. Why was she not out walking the floor and talking with guest why was she not supervising the kitchen. Read moreSuch a terrible experience. We came in 2 hours before they closed and the first thing the waitress said to us was that they were about to close. The food took forever, but that was the least of the problems. When we went to pay, all of our meals were on one ticket, so we asked her to separate them but apparently this was a big deal. She separated one salad bar off of the ticket for one of us. She then copped the most ridiculous attitude with us when we tried to get her to separate the other 2 checks. She went to the kitchen to talk to the manager and came back out saying that the manager said it was too bad and they couldn't split the checks and we would just have to pay together. Again, we politely told her we were on 2 more separate checks and she rolled her eyes and went to the back and told the manager that we were refusing to pay for our meals. When the manager came back out for the third time, we clarified that we just wanted to pay for our checks separately. She told us that even though she was the manager, she didn't know how to separate the checks. The waitress then told us that all of this was OUR fault because we should have told her from the beginning that our checks were separate. The manager informed us that the waitress had already asked us about separate checks and that we didn't tell her when she asked us. Read moreI would like to start by saying it takes a lot for me to write a negative review. I understand being short staffed and this was not the the case in this situation. We have visited Mazzio’s several times and have never had an experience like we had on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 6:30 pm. The last time we ate there, there was only one waitress, they were much busier, and we got better service than we did last night. We got no service last night.
We walked in, obviously a larger group of 7, and two waitresses looked right at us, neither said hello or asked if we needed help finding a table. I circled the restaurant with my two young children, found a table and we set it up ourselves to make it work for our group. We had tried to flag someone down for help, but were ignored. We were waiting on 2 more family members. Our family members showed up 10 minutes later, we still hadn’t been visited by a waitress. Two walked by us several times, but none stopped. A couple that came in after us had already been served drinks and and gotten salads. We waited another 20 minutes and still had been passed by several times, and had tried to flag someone down. Mind you, both waitresses working had looked in our direction multiple times. 30 min, not even a hello or drink order. We left, went to Pizza Hut.
