A local not so hidden, hidden gem. Found out about this place through co-workers who were posting restroom selfies because they, at the very least, loved the ambience. The copper finished & brick from the old warehouse made for such a cool feel. The music that was playing was a beautiful playlist that you could dance to in your seat, not so loud that you couldn't carru on a conversation at your table but loud enough that I actually thought the kitchen staff must like working hear because they can listen to music as they cook. COCKTAILS: My husband enjoyed the greenlight, I also enjoyed the rosemary mule & the Orange is the new Blackberry. We had a large charcuterie board that was so delicious, we debated eating a 2nd and not ordering entrees. ENTREES: He got the chicken; I got their burger... ALL delicious, all worth your time & money. The hostess & server were very polite & friendly. It reminded my husband & I of some of our favorite date nights back home in, Austin, TX! We look forward to coming back...

I only gave a 1 star because I couldn't review without giving any stars. We had a party of 7 was greated pleasantly and seated promptly. Our waitress was pleasant at first, however, that soon was not the case. 5 salads were ordered 4 came and I never got mine until food was delivered to 3 of our table. Four of us ordered fried chicken, the food was delivered sporadically and two of us never got our chicken until we questioned it. At this point we were disgusted I refused my food. They offered the two of us take out containers. Let's just say things got heated and things were said and done that shouldn't have been. But in the end I put total blame on Katie. Approach the table and say I'm sorry I hear we have a problem with your order. Don't come and say "What do you want." Those that ate said their food was good. Not worth the bad serviceanf...

Everything was of the upmost superb quality from the atmosphere upon walking into the record store to what they've dine with the place in the restaurant. We were greeted promptly and with courtesy and had the sweetest server ever, Haley I believe. Everything from my drink (Manhattan) to the appetizers and main course were nothing less than excellent. Upon leaving one of the house managers greeted us, we were the stragglers leaving right at closing time, and spoke very nicely to / with us giving us a little background. As I, at the time, lived in KC and was down just for the wknd I assured him Id def give the place my highest recommendations and would def drive back down from KC just for the food and atmosphere. Price point, in my opinion, was solid and fair. Love that the menu changes with seasons and with what is in season....

After 2 days of eating almost exclusively convenience store food, I was craving something fresh and healthy on my multi-day bike ride. No.5 Bistro & Bar did not disappoint. I wasn't setting my expectations high, but my meal was absolutely top-notch. I ordered the salmon bowl with a side of french fries, and honestly, it was some of the best salmon I've had at a restaurant. Very tender with a slight crust; and the lemon added a very nice zing. Contrasting grilled salmon and lemon with cool pepper, couscous, cucumber and tomato complemented each other perfectly. And the fries punched far above their weight - crispy yet tender on the inside. Additionally, the staff was warm and attentive. If I'm back in Sedalia, I'll definitely hit them up again!
