Walking down historic Ohio street in the vastly underrated city of Sedalia. Itâs chilly in January, but itâs your 4th wedding anniversary and the gift of that year is plants. You head to the flower shop and before you get to the door you see people sitting, laughing drinking the most delicious looking coffee martinis. Youâve never heard of this place and arenât sure what to expect walking in. Youâve never heard open the door and the warmth of this hidden gem hits you. Not just the temperature change, but the warm greeting you get as you walk in. Itâs been a while since youâve been greeted with a genuine smile. The man behind the counter making martinis introduces himself, his name is Rod. You wonder if maybe he has thought of moonlighting as a teacher of what customer service should be.
You sit and wait for your food, and he tells you about their rolled ice cream and their wonderful menu. You thank him, and canât wait to get home to tell your kids thereâs an ice cream spot we must try!
I highly suggest you check this small locally owned restaurant and out, and I urge you to tell your friends and family about it, after all there are very few places that have breakfast burritos. We need to promote and support our local businesses if we want any hope of keeping the charm we have come to know here. I hope nothing but the best for this business, and look forward to seeing what other local shops this town...
Read moreGood food but comically small portions. We popped in here for lunch after our Katy trail ride. The menu looked promising and the food tasted good however the portions were tiny. Like teeny tiny, and I am not normally looking for portion size to be large but for $15 half sandwich and salad I expect to not be still hungry when I leave. The chicken salad sandwich my husband ordered was made on a tiny crescent roll the size of a Pillsbury crescent roll with a spoonful of chicken salad, 2-3 bites. They were tasty bites, but not enough of bites. His Caesar salad was maybe 1 cup of loosely packed greens. The grilled blackberry brie and Greek salad was admittedly more substantial but I still left hungry and had to find another restaurant to have a full lunch less than an hour after leaving. Super disappointing experience when there are so few good food...
