I'm happy I got a chance to stop in to Katy Depot during my stay in Sedalia. It happened to be on my walk across town, and I had time to kill, so I checked it out.
The person working was very kind and informative. She opened up the exhibit area so I could walk through and take pictures. She also found me a brochure on the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival, which I hope to return to Sedalia for.
The gift shop had everything you think of when you think of Sedalia. Books on the town's history, train-themed gifts, magnets, "JamTrak" (yes, Amtrak-themed jam...I love a pun), coffee mugs, etc. Oh, and CDs of ragtime music. The bike rental/repair shop is closed so if you want to ride the Katy Trail from here to need your own.
