This was the worst experience I've ever had at a chilis. We are first responders helping people from hurricane Harvey on our way back to Austin to only go right back and help more. We stopped here on Thursday the 30th of August at approximately 3pm. The store was filthy and in total disarray. The server comes out and takes our (mine and my associate. We ordered the two for $22 with the queso that was burnt, salsa with stale and over cooked chips. We then ordered our food. He ordered the chicken fajitas and I ordered the 6oz sirloin (medium rare) with the extra shrimp. My steak cane out well done. My associates tortillas were hard and cold. The waitress took my steak back and said it should be back out in six minutes. Fifteen minutes later we ask a waiter for our waitress, five more minutes passes before she comes out with a steak that I couldn't even chew because it was so fatty and gristly. Along with my meal, the manager and the head chef came out knowing that they had messed up. When The waitress brought my whole meal to me the second time she asked me if I wanted her to combine my two plates and I said no and she got offended and scoffed and said, "you're just going to eat them both?" To which I replied, "maybe". Whatever you do, don't eat here. When we were leaving, the manager took my steak off the check as well as the fee for the payment and ordering kiosk sitting on our table. The waitress asked us if we wanted drinks to go to which we said yes. My associate was drinking unsweet tea and I was drinking sweet tea. She swapped them when she sat them down and my associate put sweetener in his already sweetened tea and I took a drink of my tea that was I sweet. I told the waitress that it was wrong and she went to the kitchen to replace it and brought me another unsweet tea. Don't eat here at this nasty restaurant. Oh and the bathroom was disgustingly filthy. I can only imagine what the...
Read moreI almost never give places a bad review, but in this case I feel it's more of a public service to help others avoid getting severely sick.
First we had to get past the sidewalks and benches being covered in bird feces and try not to get pooped on as we entered the restaurant. My son got it 3 times and my daughter once.
Then, after getting cleaned off and being seated we waited nearly an hour to get our food. The chips were chewy, the chicken was mostly gristle, my corn didn't come out with my meal, but once I finally got it it was ice cold, my husband's fries tasted like fish, and his corn was partially rotted looking. This all made the bad tea seem like no big deal.
As most parents do, I had to stop in the middle of our meal to take my daughter to the restroom. She's young and still learning. This was the ABSOLUTE END of having any appetite. In my opnion, their bathrooms were worse than most truck stop bathrooms. The walls and partitions looked like it had been years since they'd been cleaned... I would think someone should wear a hazmat suit to clean that restroom. Despite all efforts to touch NOTHING, I still felt completely contaminated just for having stepped foot in there.
I decided not to complain until after paying for our meal, because I didn't want someone to think I was just trying to get free food. The problem with this was that our server charged us for the wrong table.
Now, on their behalf, a free desert was offered by the manager halfway through the meal because of the wait. And, after the complaints about the restrooms and wrong charges, our children's meals were comped as well. This however didn't lessen my obligation to make the public aware that I now have food poisoning to deal with in addition to the other complaints.
Save yourself the trouble and eat...
Read moreWe went on a Saturday afternoon (08/01/15), our server Jordan took 10 minutes to take our drink orders. They were out of kid menus, and almost every child side order. It took 45 mins for our food to make it to the table. Two of the bacon cheeseburgers were plain tasting and very dry. The broccoli on my 5 year old's order was covered in a lemon pepper seasoning she couldn't eat. Jordan never asked to replace it. Then he starts sweeping around us to clean his section. I understand it was more than likely his time to leave. But when you start sweeping the tables behind, in front and on the sides of us while we are trying to eat is beyond disgusting. As we are leaving after the check is paid my 4 year old asks "mommy, why is there hair in my milk?" Yeah black hair, bottom of chocolate milk that she just drank. Jordan calls the manager (Adrian or Richard) and he says, "what's going on guys?, we have a new staff and we are trying to work everything out." "I want to take care of y'all, what would you like me to do? I see your billed has been paid."........Yeah okay, I expect the MANAGER to say, " I'm sorry about this, let me take care of your meal for you, what else can I do to make this experience less horrible?"
Will never return to this location. The whole restaurant needs to be...
