Ok this place there is no words, first of all we had dinner outside looking over Boca Cieaga Bay and it was a beautiful evening weather wise, also there was live entertainment nothing to crazy loud…a female singer singing old hits. Ok now about our server Deandra !!! She was super and over the top friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, Deandra spectacular interpersonal skills and a very fun and warm personality and made our dining experience wanting us to come back for another meal. The food was very favourable and cooked to perfection and the presentation of our for was great…the food was fresh and seasoned to perfection. To the Chef I give you a standing ovation!! I had their burger with blue cheese and house cut fries…ok the burger was absolutely epic I asked them to cook it medium and cooked to perfection and the amount of blue cheese on the burger was very generous and much appreciated. The flavour of this burger was not over seasoned but the full flavour of the beef was the show stopper. The Chipotle Pepper Sauce was very flavourful. I wanted to give a shoutout to guy who brought our food out (younger short guy) I asked him for ketchup but forgot to get his name…he was great and cracked some jokes and I like that because it shows he enjoys the environment he works in and comfortable working with people. I’d highly recommend this place for a meal because the food was over the top…from the moment walking into Doc Ford the 2 hostesses were friendly and one even commented she liked my watermelon 🍉 wedge golf shirt from the cousins company Full Wedge Golf. Again I want to thank Deandra for a wonderful dining experience and everyone needs a team member on their team like Deandra, thanks again Doc Fords for the memorable meal and...

We had been trying to get into the Doc Fords at the Pier in Downtown St. Petersburg for months, so we were excited to hear about this Doc Fords at Bay pines that we could get into easily.

Unfortunately, it was very underwhelming and all of us left just a little disappointed. Went here for an early dinner with my wife, son and father-in-law.

I had the Paella for $30.00. It had an almost overwhelming fishy taste (not fresh fish) and I'm pretty sure there were just as many peas in it as grains of rice. The portion was barely adequate, and I even had to steal some fries from my son to get a full belly. My son had the baby back ribs that were absolutely swimming in a tomatoey sauce that was rather bland and tasteless. It came with fries and mashed potatoes which he liked more than the ribs themselves. My Wife had the steak salad that she said was fine but average. My Father in law had the cedar plank salmon which he described as "just ok". He said the only thing that made it at least average was the sauce that came with it. Not one person had leftovers but the bill (food only was $108.00) Our waitress was inattentive, and we nearly had to chase her down to get water refills despite the restaurant being far less than full. Overall, the restaurant seemed to be just a bit lacking. The fish tank only had about 5 or 6 tiny fish in it, the dock plants were all dead from lack of being watered and the bathroom was kind of dirty. Overall below expectations and my family and I really don't...

I gave this 5 stars for the overall everything. A casual atmosphere with the inside having an average feel. The bar and view is very nice from our high top but from other places it probably isn’t much different than a lot of chain restaurants where you stare at the walls adorned with stuff. We did sit inside because we were hungry and there was no wait but in the future and there will be a future visit we will wait for outside(:45min that day which isn’t actually a long wait)and we will sit at the indoor outdoor bar while we wait for a table. I had a Snapper dish that was unusual but very good, like a large piece of snapper in what I can only describe as a tamale type breading wrapped in a corn husk with a verde sauce. It was very good but it won’t be my choice next visit. Service took awhile at first, awhile to get drinks, awhile to order, awhile to get food. So, this is not fast food and had we been outside it would have been much better but inside there’s only so much decor you can look at. We sat next to the beautiful aquarium so there’s that. After our meal we sat along the water and I had a cigar while watching the sunset. There is also a dock to walk out on and take it in as well. Overall beautiful place, cool bar, nice view and good food. Not overly expensive but really more average than what I expected. Can’t wait to return when it’s a bit cooler and hang out on the...
