Update...owner himself reached out and apologized. He said he would speak with his staff and refunded my entire meal. This was very kind and I would gladly give them another chance now. It's not often owners reach out and go the extra mile. Thank you Louis.
This was a takeout order with uber eats. None of this was the couriers fault so I left him out of this review. He was great. I had the worst experience at Seminole Subs and Gyros. (A place i generally enjoy!) I ordered a meal for $75, and not only was my order mostly incorrect, but the quality of the food was horrendous. The chicken was weird and rubbery, like the pressed together fake breast meat and tasted old, which made it nearly inedible. Naturally they drenched it heavily in tatziki sauce to cover the poor quality chicken. The pita was so soggy that it fell apart into a mushy mess as soon as I tried to eat it. My sons (a toddler) burger did not have the sauces and toppings requested so naturally he refused to eat it even with everything scraped off the bun. The burger was also overdone and he said it was too crispy and refused to eat. I reached out to the restaurant to explain the situation, hoping for some resolution, but they completely denied me any assistance and offered no solution. I ended up paying $75 for food that no one in my family would even touch. Absolutely awful service and quality. I’ll never be...
Read moreI stopped in today and ordered their 2-for-1 gyros special with a side of potato salad. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
Starting with the potato salad — it both looked unappetizing and tasted just as bad. It seemed like it was supposed to be Greek-style, but instead had the consistency of a cream-based soup and an odd vinaigrette flavor. It was easily one of the worst potato salads I’ve ever tried.
The gyros weren’t much better. The pressed meat was dry, flavorless, and lacked the seasoning you expect from a proper gyro. The pita bread was the only decent part of the dish. The tzatziki sauce, served on the side, tasted more like sour cream and spread like caulking with almost no flavor. I’ve had gyros across the country, and this ranks as one of the worst experiences.
As for the atmosphere, the store itself was clean, but the staff at the counter seemed disengaged and uninterested in being there. The two gentlemen working the grill, however, were friendly and at least greeted customers with a smile.
If you’re looking for authentic or flavorful Greek food, I would recommend skipping this spot. Even Salams, which isn’t my favorite, offers a much better deal with gyros that actually taste like gyros. Save your money — this place is...
Read moreI say this to edify and with love. I got a cheese Steak combo, $14.99 plus TIPS; $18.50. One thin slice of cheese: on a "Cheese Steak" sandwich. Do I need to explain the importance of the role of the cheese on this sandwich? All I could taste was cheap meat: not nary a sprinkle of seasoning; not even basic salt and pepper. My french-fries were a generous portion, but they were way over cooked. My Dr. Pepper must have been running low on syrup, it was not quite up-to-par. What do you want these days? I suppose nearly twenty dollars for what used to be a budget meal is not enough. I do not eat out often anymore. I can not afford it and the product is almost always lacking. I do not blame them. Seminole Subs is likely fighting just to stay open. I...
