Okay, so our son wanted to go to Glory Days and he finished all his homework. So we were happy to take him. The food was less than satisfying. My wife and I hadn't eaten all day and were quite hungry. However, even in that state, the food was not great. My wife's beef sandwich was dry, and the Jus was lacking in flavor.
The bloody Mary was awful and un-drinkable.
The fillet medallions were cooked to temperature but lacked salt and cracked pepper. The demi-glaze needed refactoring. The demi-glaze should have been made with butter, shallots, garlic, tyme and / or rosemarry, then red wine reduction, and a ladle or two of beef stock. Instead, the sauce was made with white onions and very little technique. The sauce was broken when it got to the table. Adding some creme freche or heavy whipping cream and letting simmer till consolidated, then removing from heat and adding cold butter would have set this sauce above the rest. However, that is not what happened. So the steak was wasted because while it was cooked to a nice medium-rare, I asked for rare. But the steak lacked flavor, and the sauce had an overbearing wine flavor. The proper reduction time pulls the alcohol out of the wine and retains all the flavor.
Overall, the dish was just okay and not worthy of the 18 dollar price tag when it was served as it was. The dressing for the salad was actually quite tasty. I am not sure if they make that in-house. If so, my compliments to the prep-cook who made that.
I would not order either of these dishes again. Unless they were cooked as they should be. Two stars.

Read moreSo we chose to go for a little nibble. Chose to share the pan nachos with smoked chicken. Jalapenos on the side because my body does not tolerate them. Hubs declared they were the best he's had since we left New Mexico. Barbecue sauce on the side was meh, some bottled brand you could buy anywhere. Chicken was par boiled not smoked. Nachos overall disappointing... no one makes them correctly here. A layer of nachos should be then layered with other ingredients. Repeat. Queso was plentiful but the Monterey Jack and cheddar sadly lacking. I don't think we'll be going back. A shame because as posted before...
We like it here. Service always great. A little loud but lots of venues are...we opted for the special tonight. Tenderloin medallions with a demi glace. I substituted the parmesan garlic fries for sweet potato fries... hubby was jealous. Finished off with the chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. They were also having a margarita special. $3 each. Yummy. Took half the cake home. We are very satisfied. Reasonable prices, dinner and drinks came to $61. Always a good value and we are club members and get specials and discounts plus notification of special deals... definitely...
Read moreWalking in for the first time, I'm greeted by polite staff who asked me about my day. I follow a nice young woman to a table. There's tv monitors everywhere. A plus? The US Open was being shown on two of them. I sit down and enjoyed my tea, not too sweet. I enjoyed the nachos, who knew chicken and pork could get along so well. But I have to take some time to talk about the wings. I ordered them boneless with an obscene sauce that's literally barbeque and buffalo mixed together. That wasn't even the best part, the chicken wings themselves were chicken chunks, like Chick Fil'a tier. They were huge, and the quality of the breading and juiciness of the meat--the best chicken wings I've ever had. My waiter told me they've won 8 awards for their wings. I can say that was not hype, not marketing, just the pure-unadulterated truth. The peach cobbler was awesome, needs another scoop of ice cream but the cobbler serving is massive and was served right out of the oven. My entree was a burger with seasoned fries, and a sliced dill. It was solid, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. Will...
