This is one of the best 'new to me' breakfast places I've been to. they serve breakfast lunch and dinner of course but I had the breakfast and it was amazing. I had the Greek Hero Skillet and it was enough food for three people. I don't know how everybody feels about paying over $12 for a breakfast these days anywhere you go but the insult to the injury of that is that in a lot of places they're giving you smaller portions; but not this place; it was huge. Google reviews doesn't allow me to post a second separate review of mama's place but I just discovered while working there on holiday window for Easter that they had a haddock dinner and also a stuffed haddock well I had the haddock with fries and coleslaw and it was amazing! These days it's hard to find haddock fish in Pinellas County anybody who had it stop serving it except these folks. Also when you find a place that does have it a lot of times it doesn't have that distinctive haddock flavor that you get up north. I think when it is shipped to Florida it's frozen and loses a lot of its flavor. But at mama's I got the full monty of flavor and boy was I happy. Just like growing up in Syracuse at Atlantic Seafood Company. Still the best haddock I ever had but mama's makes it pretty darn good. If you've been disappointed and had it in other places try it here and they will renew your faith in haddock

Coming into Mamas Kitchen was nice. It’s quiet and a nice restaurant. My husband ordered lasagna (17$) and I ordered a Texas cheeseburger. The lasagna came and it wasn’t very appeasing. The lasagna was drowned in tomato sauce upon receiving the food. We asked for a change in menu and opted for a cheeseburger. The waitress said once it’s been ordered it goes on the ticket and can’t be taken off. Meaning, the lasagna was added to the ticket even though my husband didn’t eat it yet. We changed our minds and kept the lasagna. My husband expressed disgust as he was eating cold lasagna. We talked to the waitress and I asked her if she could ask the cook if the lasagna was microwaved. The manager came out and sounded stressed. The restaurant wasn’t packed with people. We told her about the lasagna and she said the food is made fresh everyday and the portions are microwaved because we can’t keep an eye on the food all the time. She asked us if we wanted it to be hotter, we said no and split the Texas cheeseburger in half. I don’t normally write reviews, but it’s lasagna. You can’t just ruin lasagna. As a customer the food is supposed to be hot and ready. The burger was good though.

If you are looking for the biggest bang for your food buck, look no further than Mamas Kitchen. Huge breakfast and lunch meals for around $15! I had the Philly Cheesesteak omelette made with slice prim rib! FLAVOR BOMB INCOMING!!! I don’t have a photo for the Salmon Salad but believe me, when the server (Starla) brought my attention to it at the next table, it could have fed 4 adults! It looked delicious! We were there for 2 hours, visiting with family and enjoying lunch and our glasses were never empty, and we never felt rushed. A visit by the manager half way through the meal, everything was done with deliberate intention to make sure we wanted for nothing! Look, these people have been doing this, in this location for decades for a reason. They know what they are doing, they constantly ask for feedback, and most importantly - they know what their food tastes like, because they love eating it! Just ask any of the servers. Looking forward to coming back for dinner soon, as I’m told it is equally awesome, even though this restaurant is an hour from our home.

Oh my! Where do I start? This place was such a pleasant surprise. Friends took us here for our first time and a week later I was bringing people! Extensive menu. Everything from American, Italian and Greek. Portions are HUGE! I had the fried haddock sandwich for lunch and took half the haddock home and made another sandwich the next day! You certainly won't go away hungry! What also makes this place special is the staff. It appears to be a family affair with even children helping out and all of them were so nice. They offer seating in booths as well as tables and outdoor seating. I had the chicken fettuccini for diner and there were lots of tender strips of chicken breast and fettuccini, which was done perfectly. My husband had a cheeseburger and said it was excellent and cooked the way he asked. The portions of the chicken parmesan were also huge and the chicken tender and delicious. The two people in our party who had it enjoyed it although they said the sauce was not quite seasoned enough for their taste although there was plenty of it. The turkey sandwich was piled so high that turkey was brought home for another meal. They serve warm rolls and butter in a basket. The rolls were very soft with a slightly sweet and buttery taste. We didn't try the breakfast menu but it too was extensive. They serve soup or salad with many of the entrees. The Yankee bean soup was delicious. The side salads were crisp and larger than served in many places. We were visiting while on vacation and I would definitely come back when in the area. I highly recommend Mama's Kitchen if you are after a good, casual restaurant to take family and friends who gave a variety of food preferences. This place covers most...

Frequently enjoy your restaurant. Bring friends and some elderly family members here over the years. Being a life long resident of the area it is a favorite. Being it was mid afternoon on a Saturday I brought my nephew since he had never been there . He was impressed by wide array of menu. I was concerned with the fact we had to wait 10-15 minutes for order to be taken. Waitress was in extensive conversation with I would guess friends was the reason she could not take order. 10 minute wait for our meals was not really an issue even with the fact she was not busy with other customers. We mentioned we had not gotten our toast after taking 10 minutes to get her attention since she was still in conversation with her friends she had been with earlier. Enjoyed our meal even with the fact we received our toast after finishing meal. Was not surprised when a couple seated after us questioned the same waitress what the procedure was for ordering their meal. Again she was more interested in her conversation with friends than taking care of customers. That couple were upset. I will return because of the fine food and the friendliness of the person in charge at the front desk or owner. Not really a grumpy old man but just want to make you aware. You have a great establishment.Thanks…see...
