Edit 03/2023: Visited the store on my yearly trip to Florida and doesn't seem like much has changed. They run the store like a hobby rather than a business it feels like. That's not always a bad thing, but some profesdionalism needs to be in order. The owner was wearing Pikachu pajamas (with the packaging still in the store) but they were having some kind of sale out front. It just seems like they need to clean and keep the food out of the storefront (leave it back in the back room with the boxes strewn about.
Old review: From one business owner to another: Either update your business hours, leave a note, or some form of communication if you’re not going to be open during your scheduled business hours. Stopped by on Wednesday at 1:40PM and they were closed. Another patron was there looking to unload a few consoles.
I’ve seen that the owner responds to reviews on here, so you should be familiar with Google My Business, leave an update or something.
Edit same day: raised one more to three stars. The owner came back as I was leaving. The store air needs to be circulated in there. The combination of old consoles, workers, and boxes of stuff makes the air stale. Even leaving the door open would help a little bit. The store isn’t very unorganized, with the exception of the glass countertops. Controllers, power supplies, and misc A/V cables thrown about. There was a few boxes on the floor full of misc. electronics that could have been put away, but the shelves seem to be stocked in alphabetical order, so that looked good. Otherwise, the store looks like it was never updated when the store owner took it...
Read moreMy name is Vincent, I'm from NY. While on Vacation I wanted to check out local Retro Game Stores. I actually came here based on the negative reviews, believe it or not to see for myself. At 1pm, the woman was here by herself. she greeted me right away. She offered assistance, told me about the business and let me browse around. Everything was segregated by console and in alphabetical order. There was a small unsorted section off to the side that I guess was in the process of getting worked. That's where i found the items i was interested in. Hidden gems. After collecting a few things, the lady called her son for prices... which we're reasonable... and flexible. I couldn't even get a better deal online. Good experience all around. Yea, the place could be cleaner, Yea, lady and son were yelling on the phone (he was at a loud flea market and she had mentioned she's from NJ)... so I think they are just loud people... and not the MOST professional, but come on people. It's a family business!!.. not Game Stop that has a corporate overhead. You want them to wear uniforms too?... Oh, and everyone talking about M & M being better... I didn't hate my experience there.. but I wasn't greeted walking in and M & M's Sega Genesis and SNES selection was 90%...
