DeLucia's Bake Shop — Restaurant in Seven Lakes

I have to give a shout out about the service at DeLucia’s Bake Shop. Today was the first time I visited the bakery with the hopes of purchasing their Ricotta Cheese Pie. I have heard nothing but great reviews about their goods. When I heard they actually sell Ricotta Cheese pie and we are not in NewYork I wanted to bring one to a Super Bowl Dinner this evening. When I went to their shop to buy one I was disappointed to find out they had none (I should have known better). To my surprise they offered to bake me one and they would have it ready by 3:00 pm. Fanatic bakery! I've loved traditional Italian bakeries since my grandfather used to take me to them up North. Missed the amazing flavors and passion that can be hard to find in many baked goods these days. I stopped in at DeLucia's and the staff immediately welcomed me. They were so kind and helpful about something I wanted but they currently didn't have in stock. I got a small assortment of sweet, savory, and a labor intensive favorite. Wow. The flavors are perfection, they use great quality ingredients and are generous with their fillings. I haven't had a rainbow bar that good since the 1990's. Absolutely...

Huge shout out to DeLucia's! I started getting Bagels there every week because they are the only ones my son will eat in the morning. We freeze them when we get home, then microwave for 30 secs in a paper towel to defrost and then toast to our liking for breakfast. I also love their Italian wedding cookies!!! They have packaged cookie trays that make the perfect gift or addition to any house party. We are so blessed to have such a talented, friendly, and tasty bakery in Seven Lakes. I hope we start seeing more of their offerings creeping into Pinehurst and Southern Pines...
