We have heard so much good things about this place. It was our first time in on a Thursday night. Super busy place. The doors should be open to release some kind of undefined smell in the restaurant, especially with such a big crowd eating inside. The weird smell was so strong it made me very sensitive to throwing up. No one greeted us at all. We had no idea what to do. We stood there at the door waiting for quite a bit while everyone stared speechless. We saw waiters walking around without seeing our presence. We had no idea we were supposed to seat ourselves until we saw a sign by the floor to find our own seats. Being so busy and crowded inside, we finally found a table all the way in the back by the arcades. We sat down for half an hour. No one came over to give us a menu or even asked what we wanted to drink. Finally I had to come up myself to the front desk by the entrance to let someone know our presence and grabbed the menu myself. It took an hour to 45 minutes for just the appetizer to come out, and another half hour or longer for the rest of the other foods. The onion rings were soaked in oil grease, for an additional cost, not worth it. The celery sticks that came with chicken wings looked like someone rushed to break them in small pieces, which looked very sloppy prepared. Only 3 pieces of celery with an order of 15 wings??? It took a long time to fetch a waitress to give us our bill, and to ask for to-go-boxes. I kept having to walk up to the front to get help. Customer service is not there at satisfaction yet. Very glad to see the business full of customers, but we don’t think we will be back again. Just wanted to give some suggestions to better improve the restaurant. The 2 tables we sat at were very sticky like it wasn’t cleaned very well. Our water glasses were empty, and waitress never came to filled it up. Some of the games at the arcade doesn’t even work. We are still giving this place a 5 star because we know having a business can be hard and stressful. Every business deserves a pat-in-the-back. It could be maybe that we came on a bad day, and it was super busy, when it’s so busy like this, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everyone, and no...

The quality of food is really based on what you ordered, I ordered the Rocky mountain oyster combo and I thought they did an excellent job on that. Some people ordered the chicken fried special and some of them were good and some of them could have been better. But it's typical bar food. You don't go there because it's a gourmet meal. You go there because it's a comfort food while you're having a few beers with friends meal. Just like most bars they have the thing that they specialize in. I think the biggest rub and this is more of a personal preference thing was we were with a bunch of people from the south who came in and asked for sweet tea which in the south if you don't brew sweet tea fresh daily, you don't survive as a business. In Colorado, sweet tea is not in high demand, so it's understandable that it's not brewed fresh daily and comes in a package like fountain soda. Price wise for a bar again. I think it depends on what you order. I thought my 16 oz of Rocky Mount oysters was a very reasonable price. Some of the things are a Little more expensive for bar food than I was used to. But it is Colorado and it has become a haven for...

They were not very busy, had a few tables that already ordered and were waiting for over an hour for their food because our waiter said they were short staffed. I don't know how many were cooking but they only had 2 servers which couldn't keep up with waiting.cleaning and serving. While we were there 4 good sized tables just got up and left.we go there sometime after 7 and got our food when they were getting ready to close at 9. Food was like warm. Fries were cold, we ordered a house salad to go when we ordered our meals and weren't told that they had run out of salad until we got our food after we had asked about it. The owner came in and a lady was with him around 8 or 8:30 and could have helped them out to at least gotten the last of the food out, built after having a few words with our waiter and the waitress he left, which wasn't right. Very bad business like for him. Knowing that they were short staffed from the beginning and with wait, Luke warm food we stayed ate what we ordered, took some home and DID tip our waiter cause it...

Bruce’s Bar and Restaurant Severance, Colorado USA @tripadvisor 4.0/5.0 ⭐️ Reviewed as a local favorite watering hole and eatery known for their World Famous Rocky Mountain Oysters! Bruce’s Bar has been serving cold beer since 1957, but in 1959 the bar took a gamble and began serving Rocky Mountain Oysters. This change transformed the bar and made them well known far and wide. The bars atmosphere is relaxed but western and is a very popular spot. Expect to see all walks of life here especially on all you can eat special nights. You’ll also find this is a popular stop for motorcycle riders and the streets of Severance outside the bar can be lined with Harley’s at times. The craziest part about Bruce’s Bar is the town of Severance’s slogan, “where the geese fly and the bulls cry” is based off the world famous Rocky Mountain oysters served there. The menu is full of other options like wings, burgers, combo platters, steaks, surf and turf, and sandwiches. Bruce’s bar is fully stocked with liquors and spirits and the beer is super reasonably priced. Bruce’s has a little something for everyone from their game room, pool table, live music, and amazing menu with world famous food so make sure if you’re in the Fort Collins area, make the short drive to Severance and check out Bruce’s!@brucesbar123Suggested by: @alekclathis#Drinking #beer #ilovethisbar #shots #coldbeer #budweiser #busch #millerlite #coorslight #fireball #guinness #bar #whiskey #bourbon #wine #cocktails #tavern #saloon #divebar #bartender #fortcollins #motorcycle #rockymountainoysters #severance #Colorado #brucesbar

The food was pretty good, they fried everything really well. But the service was not as good, the waitress we had wasn't very kind and had some sass. For example when I ordered my food I had very little time to look at the menu so I didn't know what I wanted yet but she already was asking for my order. I hurried and ordered the black hill oysters, and I told her that's what I wanted, then she just said "okay" and stood there staring at me and I didn't know what else she wanted, my friend after a few seconds said I needed to tell her my side, shouldn't the waitress have asked what I wanted as a side instead of just standing there? I didn't know I even got to choose a side. This did not bother me but the other people at the bar were being extremely loud yelling at the game on TV, this was chill with me but if you prefer a more quiet atmosphere to eat I don't recommend Bruce's. Other than the snarky attitude by the staff I enjoyed it.

ShortRound, Ginger, the local patrons (like Bill&Tina) were all splendid, welcoming, and the dinner was a fun & delicious joy. Go for the Bison Oysters, anyone that likes #chickyfingys will enjoy them. Also, local recommendation, ask for horseradish to add in to the (mostly) ketchup dip they call cocktail sauce, it levels up the whole plate. I will be back to enjoy this gem of a restaurant. “The Town of Severance. Where the geese fly and the Bulls cry…” what a classic.
