*Do not support this business. * Food was ok. Managers and owners were very rude and condescending.
The menu says the meal includes onion soup, salad, 2 shrimp, oriental vegetables, steamed rice. (Kids meal includes salad and steamed rice, no soup) There is a note that fried rice can be substitute for an extra charge of $2.
We asked many questions about the menu. Typically when we go to hibachi the meat is served with rice and noodles. Sometimes I've had to choose between rice OR noodles. Since this menu and our server explained noodles are extra, fried rice is an upcharge, we settled for the white steamed rice and ordered sides of noodles.
The bill comes and they charge each person for steamed rice. When we asked why, the manager did not feel it was necessary to come tell us that there was a change, rice is no longer included, and sent our server back to point out that the menu says any change of menu and pricing can happen with no notice.
It was not right that we asked about menu items and were mislead. My family asked about the white rice, the steamed rice and the noodles. The managers and owner told us, what's the big deal over a few dollars?? He was snarky and called my father extra for going out of his way to tell our server that the boss is not right.
His sarcasm went as far as saying, "report me to the president!"...
Read moreIn short, too expensive. Okay so let me be clear. They made improvements recently. They brought out our salads first. Was really good. Then they brought out our soup separately. This is very nice as sometime ago they were bringing them both out together and had issues with way too much salad dressing. I noted this to somebody and they appear to have fixed everything. Fantastic! The food was wonderful. Five stars. You may ask why I'm giving them three stars. My favorite dish, the seafood special, which used to be $18 a few years ago was raised in price to $24.95. I bauked that this but eventually accepted it. Then the other night we dropped in for a meal. Seafood special is now $34.95. Most of the other meals have gone way up in price also. I can't imagine seafood costs have gone up that much. At least when we have bought seafood, it seems to be quite reasonable. Shrimp seems to have even dropped in price. I hope the higher prices are temporary. At those prices I could feed my own family and several other families the same food,...
Read moreAwful service last night. Two at our table didn't get rice with their entree and the server "forgot". Server never checked on us after we got our food. Empty drink glasses mid way through didn't get refilled until we were leaving. When we got the rice, just prior to leaving, we were charged $1.75 for about 4 TBS of plain rice.
One in our party has a shellfish allergy and we asked if the entree could be made in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. It was not, that entree was made right along with the shrimp. Awful service.
$9 for a side of friend rice. It has about 3 pieces of shrimp cut up in it with a bit of egg. No vegetables.
Small portions for what they charge.
What restaurant charges for a side of rice?
Bring cash, they will charge you a convenience fee if yiu use a card, even if you spend almost $100 on their mediocre food.
