First the girl with braces is super rude, from start to finish. I’ll just say with her stepping all over my son and talking crap in Spanish about me (just because people don’t look the part doesn’t mean they can’t understand) should have been red flags. She had a whole attitude with me from the get go for no reason other than we were told 25 minutes to wait and we waited an hour. Yea we had a large group, but after 40 minutes of waiting we were hoping some timeframe but nope, we at the time were even willing to split up, until they stuck 10 people in two tiny booths. I had to get up and ask to move to the large table that opened up because we couldn’t even move.
Second: I told the I’m assuming manager the food was good because at the time it was. Not even an hour after leaving my 4 year old son was vomiting and had diarrhea (the son she was pushing on), I myself had explosive vomiting, and my other son had explosive vomiting. Here’s hoping the fourth doesn’t vomit. One can’t help but think our vomiting is intentional as she had an attitude and so did a few servers. Because as locals we’ve eaten here NUMEROUS times and have NEVER have gotten sick.
I will be reporting our symptoms to the health department in hopes that other people don’t become violently ill like me and my children have. It’s probably in the restaurants best interest that us falling ill was mere food poisoning and not intentionally done by brace face. AVOID. We will never return....

I have eaten many chimichangas from many different places and with that experience I expected a fairly crisp chimichanga (as they are typically fried) well I’m not sure if I got the wrong thing or if this is their usual chimichanga but it was not fried. It was literally a soggy log of meat wrapped in a wet tortilla. The meat tasted well seasoned but the texture of the soggy log turned me off and I couldn’t even eat more than the one bite. I contemplated ordering something different but upon seeing my husbands food Camarón el Diablo (or something along that) which was shrimp served in shells, legs and tails but smothered in a mixture so you couldn’t even see that and once he peeled the shells and legs off, the mixture was peeled off the shrimps as well, I decided maybe this place wouldn’t serve anything I’d like to eat. I eat authentic Mexican food as well as Americanized Mexican food. Love it. But this place was inedible, we did sit and enjoy our drinks and our chips and I felt absolutely embarrassed for having them bus our barely touched completely full plates😬. The waitress was friendly but when I asked her questions about the menu (it said “boiled” next to the chimichanga) she didn’t understand me and just parroted that chimichangas are fried-surprise,...
Read moreI recently had a delightful dining experience at Cancun, a Mexican restaurant located in Sevierville. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The chips and salsa they served as an appetizer were absolutely fantastic, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
For our main courses, I opted for the pollo with mole, and it was a flavor explosion. The tender chicken combined with the rich and savory mole sauce created a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. My wife ordered the chicken quesadilla, and she couldn't stop raving about how flavorful and cheesy it was.
What impressed me the most was that Cancun catered to everyone's tastes in our family. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and even my in-laws, who are quite picky eaters, found dishes that they loved. The extensive menu offered a wide variety of options, ensuring that there was something for everyone.
The service at Cancun was outstanding. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They even accommodated a special request we had without hesitation.
If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine and a dining experience that caters to the whole family, I highly recommend visiting Cancun in Sevierville. The combination of great chips and salsa, delicious dishes like the pollo with mole, and the overall welcoming atmosphere make it a standout choice. You won't be...
