My wife and I visited Flapjack in Sevierville TN for the first time recently on Sunday 01/26/2025. My wife and I both ordered the $12 hash brown skillet which came with hash browns, bacon, eggs, and cheese. First sign of something being wrong was the food came out way faster than expected, almost like the skillets were pre made and they just heated them up real quick instead of making them fresh to order. I was expecting them to take at least 10 minutes before we got out food, but it arrived at our table in less then 5 minutes. My wife only at a little bit of her plate because she felt uneasy about how quickly it came out, and wasn't too happy with the looks of it. I wish I followed her lead and just sent the food back and left at that point. But, I was very hungry and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt which was a big mistake. I ate pretty much my entire meal and about an hour later after leaving I started to feel sick, I ended up with a case of food poisoning and spent the rest of my day in bed feeling absolutely horrible, I was vomiting and had bad diarrhea which both lasted the rest of the day and into Monday all day long causing me to have to miss work on Monday. It wasn't until Tuesday where I finally started to recover and feel better. Needless to say my wife and I will never be going to any flapjack's location ever again and I will be recommending my friends and family to...
Read moreGiving 3 stars overall because the hostess at the door was incredibly rude not once but twice before we were actually seated. There was a dense crowd in the door and we were unable to make it to the hostess stand. I called and asked to be placed on the waitlist and she said “I don’t know what to tell you, you have to come to the desk for service”. I explained to her that the crowd of individuals in the doorway would not move and again asked and she refused. When I finally made it to the hostess stand, the person I spoke to on the phone was talking to a coworker and they were both laughing about the conversation we had just had on the phone. I stood at the stand facing her for a good 60 seconds listening to her laugh about me how she thought it was hilarious that we couldn’t get inside. I waited for her to finish her joking with her coworker before I pointed out that that was me and I didn’t appreciate her rudeness. When we were finally seated our waitress was more professional than the hostess but had to ask for things a couple of times before we got them- pico de gallo for the southwest skillet, syrup for pancakes, ect. Additionally, we had ordered the pancake fritters as an appetizer and they actually came out long after our food did. Overall the food was ok but I wouldn’t visit this establishment again just due to the service being...
Read moreMy girlfriend are visiting and wanted to try something different for breakfast during our stay. This Flapjacks location was the worst decision we could have made.
We were seated about forty minutes after arriving, which is fine as it is a tourist destination. Everything after that was not fine.
Our waitress was terse and annoyed we were in her section. We placed our orders and got our food relatively quickly. But the food was cold. We both ordered one of the skillet meals offered.
To be clear, these come in a plastic bowl shaped like a skillet. The food was all cold items (hash browns, eggs, biscuit) and smothered in warm gravy. The hash browns were definitely undercooked and likely kept under a heat lamp or a steam table. This meal was just horrible. The only upside of the food was the turkey sausage. It was quite tasty.
Lastly, our server never checked on us. Not once. The only time we saw her after getting our food was her dropping off the check. I had to go to the manager to pay.
Unfortunately, this experience has led us both to decide that we will not be eating here again, and I do not recommend...
