La Cocina — Restaurant in Seward

Server never bothered to check on us, got our drinks after it took time we got them. He seemed put off that we'd never been there and couldn't recommend anything to us or tell us if something was spicy or mild. Our meals we ordered weren't hot and bland, sent back a chimichanga meal that wasn't even fried but maybe 10 seconds or so had no crunch at all but tortilla was soft and turning soggy, temperature was at most lukewarm like it had been sitting. Manager apologized and said her cook had the night off?!? Service and food were both a disappointment. We wanted refills and nobody bothered to get us refills, asked a young lady since our server didn't care to take care of his table and she said she'd get refills but never got them, 1st experience was a letdown...

La Cocina Restaurant located in downtown Seward, NE, offers customers an opportunity to experience an atmosphere which truly serves the area w/ a one of a kind, unique dining experience to be topped off of w/ an incredibly tasty cuisine my best friend & I traveled for many miles to experience. The owners are truly generous, kind, & welcoming people whom have drawn us to try their Mexican food, an experience we are both eternally grateful to have had shared w/ one another & will be sharing our family & friends in conversation in the days & weeks ahead. We visited a Mexican restaurant, and the portions were impressively large. The food was tasty and felt very well-balanced. The spices in the dishes were especially delightful and gave the food a great flavor. The only downside was that my chicken steak seemed a bit too salty, and the couch I sat on wasn’t very comfortable as the springs were sagging. However, the service was excellent — fast and attentive. The chicken quesadilla was absolutely amazing, probably the best I’ve had in a long time: plenty of chicken, rich filling, and an incredibly delicious sauce for the nachos. Overall, the food and atmosphere left a very positive impression. I definitely recommend this place for a nice family...
