Service was awful, tip was added without our knowledge or consent, food was mediocre....It started out good, then the cheese dip came out looking like baby vomit, the menu was confusing with weird combinations, Therefore I ordered an appetizer for an entree. once we were finished we waited 10 minutes to get a check and to-go boxes and had already run out of drinks. when I flagged down the waitress all she did was wave back at me and still took 5 minutes to show up at our table. then while double-checking the check to make sure that I wasn't overcharged for my appetizer as an entree, we saw a $5 service fee for a total check of $38, we asked what that was for and she said it was the tip. Then when the receipt came out to sign there was an additional place to put a tip.I don't normally scrutinize my checks, so had I not been looking to check my price of my appetizer entree, I would not have seen that she charged us a tip on the bill and I probably would have added a tip to the receipt, meaning she would have got probably a 40% tip since she charged me a 20% tip without my knowledge. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, WILL NOT BE GOING BACK, AND MAKE SURE YOU READ THE CHECK BEFORE...

Smashed fly with dried blood streaked on my plate of food when they brought it out. Asked to speak to the manager 3 times and the waitress said he was busy. My husband said we would wait. After the manager comes over he asks what we want. Are we wanting a new plate of food?...Well yes we want a different plate of food. He then goes to the back and when he brings the new plate of food he says he asked his cook and that wasn’t there when he made the food. He checked the plates and there was nothing on them. They were clean when he checked....Ok...well I definitely didn’t wipe a dead bug across my own plate. I will not be eating here again. They didn’t seem interested in making the situation right. I wasn’t looking for a free meal, but just for them to seem apologetic...

Its a shame I can't leave 0 stars because they don't deserve one. Here is the kicker when we get to have their food. Its delicious and well prepared.

However, here's the problem we have gone there 4 times and gotten our food twice. A 50% rate of getting our food.. more than enough reason for a bad review. And its not the fault of the local food delivery service. Its the restaurant. And they couldn't have the courtesy to tell us they couldn't do the order. They canceled our previous order because it got past 9 (which is their closing time) when we order the food at 8:29. Im not even sorry at this point San Marcos, you've messed it up enough. Its done. Unlike your ability to complete an order. Which remains,...
