Angelo's Pizzeria Shaler/Glenshaw — Restaurant in Shaler Township

For starters, the pizza was quite good, but it's worth speaking to the customer service there before delving further into the food.

When I got the number from Google for this location, it actually was for their other location, which I didn't know when placing my order. When I arrived, it became obvious what happened, and I was ready to drive the like 15 or 20 minutes to the other shop. But the man running the show said not to worry about it, and said he would call the other location and let them know, and he'd make my order fresh now.

That kind of service, especially in these days, is largely unheard of, and I was very appreciative, especially because this location is literally a minute or two from my house, and I had a hungry family at home. Beyond that act of kindness, the pizza absolutely satisfied. My daughter got a small cheese pizza she gobbled up, and my wife and I really enjoyed the white pizza with mushrooms and sausage that we ordered. I had a pretty bad experience picking up from this place. I was told my order would be ready at a certain time, showed up and they didn’t have my order ready at the time they estimated, which is ok. I ordered garlic knots as a side and the lady at the desk said they don’t start cooking them until after I would show up to pick up the order. Huh? Why on earth would you want me to show up to your clothing closet sized parking lot to wait 10 minutes for the rest of my order to be done? But wait, here’s the best part. I got marinara sauce on the side and when I got home there was a huge piece of mold in the container. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be picking up food from this place. I have questions and concerns about the sanitation of the kitchen after my experience. I hate writing these reviews. I usually keep my mouth shut about these experiences with places I eat, but the mold was the last straw....

I drive by this place on my way to and from work and heard it was good pizza. I decided to stop this past Thursday after work around 8pm. I ordered a large Sicilian pizza with pepperoni and let me tell you this pizza was fantastic. Pieces were were thick, cheesy, and the pepperoni was awesome. One of the better Sicilians I’ve had and one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. I had tons of leftovers which I reheated in the air fryer and it was just as good as when I first picked it up.

Gentlemen at the front counter was very pleasant as well.
