Duffer's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Shallotte

My waitress was fine but just a little unfamiliar with how they prepare the food it turns out, I asked for a Texas Burger smothered with grilled onions melted cheese on top, when my burger came out it was a cheeseburger with melted cheese no sauteed onions but raw onions on top of it, I asked the server that delivered my order, but itwas not my waitress, he said he would inform my waitress, she came back 5 minutes later with a small dish of grilled onions, when I remarked that it would not have the same taste as if the burger was grilled with the onions on top and would they mind redoing it, she came back and informed me they did not cook onions with the meat I informed them in that case I did not want the burger, Few minutes later a manager came out and told me that they were redoing my order and that they weren't going to cook the onions with the hamburger but they would cook them separately and then slap that onions on top of the hamburger afterwards and that I would get my order that Way ( apparently whether I wanted it or not was the insinuation) it realizing that this manager was not going to budge I said fine just make the order to go, my girl seem to think this was a highly embarrassing situation and thought I made a big deal about nothing, So the makeup for it, I left the girl a $10dollar tip took my meal to go and we continued on home, Lo and behold when I get home and open my hamburger I find a with raw onions on top of it again not a cooked onion to be seen, again as I said no fault the waitress apparently she did not know enough about how they prepare the meals and was still new but the manager who I think should have known and should have acquised to my request more or less told me I was going to take it like that or and that was it whether I...

I had the Bacon Jam Cheeseburger (yes u read that right)! It was cooked to medium as I asked for it to be, they don’t short you on the JAM either. The fries were immaculate they’re steak fries but not filled with an overload of potato and just a little bit of skin nah these were just right. The service was great very attentive and not just standing around on their phones or not doing anything. They actually worked as a team and the food came out hot. The fountain drinks which they have Pepsi products was only $2.25 and most places nowadays you’re looking at 3.49 or higher so (pay attention to your bill at restaurants) also there was no up charge for credit cards nor an up charge for splitting a plate. The only thing I would say some wouldn’t like is it might be a little chilly so bring a light coat if you get cold easily. Also I had two other people with me and the bill was less than $34 all TOGETHER! If you’re in the area and looking for a salad,sub,burger,or soups and appetizers stop in and see what’s it’s all about! For my drinkers out there they have a full bar with lots of IPA’s all the way down to bud light and mixed drinks galore. This place is a win win in my opinion so what are you waiting for? Me and my family was in your restaurant on Oct. 5, 2024. We were waiting to be served, after waiting for a while. We ask who was our waitress and we were told he would be with us shortly. We waited and a young lady came by and asked could she help. My sister said we’re just before leaving. I asked was she our waitress, she said no. I said well who is and she said he had to do something. I said ok can you take our order she said yes and did so, but she didn’t take the order to the kitchen she instead walked over to the hostess and started talking about us which was very rude and wrong. The young man that was our waiter was standing there as well. He came over to the table and I asked him is everything ok he said she’s fine. I said she has our order but she’s over there talking to that lady about us. I told him that’s ok we’re leaving. I understand that your restaurant maybe short staffed but that doesn’t give any employees the right to talk about customers while they’re sitting in your restaurant and seeing it.
