Short review - Avoid ordering in person. If you want these donuts (which are very tasty) then my recommendation is to order online for delivery. Very poor customer service in person.
Long review - Sunday morning (10 AM) my husband and I wanted to grab donuts as I was feeling pretty stressed/blue. I was really excited to treat ourselves as I had gotten these donuts as a delivery gift for my birthday and really enjoyed them at home.
I walked in while my husband waited in the car with our kids. Upon entering there were 3 workers and 2 people in the line front of me. I waited for a total of 20 minutes and during that entire time was completely ignored. No friendly hello, no expectation on when I would be served, and it seemed that the crew was very stressed out due to a multitude of online orders. As well, during the 15 min they only completed 1 of the 2 people in front of me. When they approached the person in front of me, she started a large order (36 donuts) and I knew that I was not going to be served anytime soon and left empty handed.
Aside from feeling very small, unimportant, and frustrated after trying to cheer myself up, hindsight it just doesn't make sense to go in person for a speciality donut shop. I can't imagine the store is making much in person sales and something like a specialty sweet shop should be matched with kinder customer service. If I didn't want a unique experience I would have just gone to Krispy Kreme.
It may be better in the long run to be a delivery or order ahead only service, or at least talk to your in person customers and let them know if you're running behind! Sure I may have still left, but that's missing on only 1 sale vs multiple sales from me...
Read moreI loved my Peace, Love & Little Donuts, donuts! I made a pickup order using their app, which I thought was very groovy. The variety of flavors is overwhelming, not in a bad way but in an oh my god all of these look so good I cannot begin to make a choice, way.
I finally picked out twelve, making a mental note of what they were so I could order a different twelve next time. I reserved the time I would pick them up and paid on the app and waited patiently for donut time to arrive.
There's a little parking lot next to the building so it's pretty accessible. As soon as I walked in the door, the friendly employee greeted me and asked me if I had a pickup order. She handed it to me and I was in and out in less than 10 seconds, far out!!
Deciding which donuts to eat was harder than deciding which ones to pick out. I cut them in half and ate the halves of a couple and oh my are they out of sight!! My favorite was the apple pie. The toppings are perfectly assembled not to outshine the donut itself and I didn't feel as if they were overwhelmingly sweet.
Peace, Love and Little Donuts gets two very enthusiastic...
Read moreThis is perhaps our favorite local donut shop, however, they close at 1 on Sundays. We go to church at 11 in the Polaris area, and can't get over here until very close to 1. Because of that, we try not to do it too often after church when we go to the 11 service, just to not be those people, however, 2 times we've gotten donuts there it was about 5 minutes before they closed. At no point did they make us feel like we were inconveniencing their day by doing do. Both times was a different employee, and both treated us with great respect and courtesy. Today's trip, some people came in as we were finishing our order. We had ordered the last 12 donuts the guy had already made, and he offered to make another batch for the people that came in after us. All too often, companies would simply turn them away. It says a lot to the way management runs this place, when I get the same great experience every time I go. I've gone more than twice, just only these 2 occasions where it was nearing close. Each time, I've had great service, and wonderful donuts. Even got some doggie...
