First of all let me say this whole place from the get go was an experience, from the amazing local atmosphere, conversing staff, and aromas of fresh baked pizzas. Me and my fiancee drove to Oklahoma to pick up some machinery for our dallas based shop. Well on our way back home we decided to pick up a bite to eat, and the first place that stood out was Giorgio's Pizzeria with 4.8Stars and over 500 reviews. These reviews all boasted that Giorgio's had the best Gyros in Oklahoma and while I haven't had any other O.K gyros it's safe to say Giorgio's is a top contender for that title. Before we left we were greeted by a woman who I believe is the owner or co-owner and she was definitely a cherry on top of the whole experience. We told her where we were from and how we found this place. She then took our plates and shortly after came back to our table with a whole box full of gyro meat for the road to snack on. 🤤 The box only barely made through the 5h drive. This morning I opened the fridge and saw we had just a little bit of meat left, so in honor of the food at Giorgio's. I made me and my partner a gyro grilled cheese that was lightly lathered in the white gyro sauce. The resulting product was one of the best grilled cheeses I ever had. Giorgio's is the gift that keeps on giving.
P.S Giorgio's pls add gyro grilled cheeses to your menu we will take 10 to go the next time we...
Read moreI have been here 3 times. The first time my family dined in. Good was amazing. Pizza was perfect and my gyro was just as good. A bit expensive but worth it that visit. Second visit was a take out visit. Thinking surely we'd be having the best pizza in Oklahoma shortly, we were sadly disappointed by a pizza with practically no sauce. It was tasteless except for the cheese. And my gyro was oddly overly crispy. Almost as if they had re cooked it a second time maybe or just over cooked it. I'm not sure but it wasn't good that time. Well fast forward to visit number 3. Figured we give it another try. Must have been a fluke and every messes up once in a while. We called and placed a to go order. Asked for extra sauce on the pizza this time. Received it just as dry as the last time. Even paid for the extra sauce. The gyro had no sauce on it at all and they included none in the bag. Called to mention it to them and basically got told tough luck. "I made the pizza, and I know there's sauce on it". Very rudely and hung up. Now that's some customer service. Charge for something, don't provide it. Then get mad when asked about it. Not sure how I feel about you using them out again. And I can't recommend them now either. I won't say stay away because you may or may not get a...
Read moreUPDATED 4-12-19 Yesterday we made a special trip to Shawnee from Chandler just to have the pizza here with my mother-in-law based on our first visit and we we're very disappointed. We were there 1 1/2 hours which would have been fine except that after waiting all that time we watched them pull our cheesy bread out of a to go box that had been sitting for a while and put it on a plate and bring to our table. It was cold and we sent it back. Meanwhile, they had pulled a pizza out of the oven and put it on top of the oven which I thought was odd but okay there must have been a reason for it. About 15 to 20 mins later they put that pizza back in the oven which was odd so I watched it and sure enough that same pizza that was reheated is what they brought out to our table. When I asked about it they said it was held so that we could get the Chee's bread first. WHAT???? it was ok but not as good as it would have been fresh out of the oven. Won't be going there again.
Awesome pizza done the right way! You can watch them toss the dough and build your pizza while you wait and it's worth the wait. I don't make recommendations freely but I highly recommend Giorgio's. Next time you find yourself in Shawnee give them a try. You'll be...
