Went to this place because of good reviews but left very disappointed due to their UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. I ordered medium bubble tea the cost of which was ~$5.95, but they ended up charging me way more: +$1 for “fresh milk,” +$0.25 for something else, and +$1 for cream/ice cream. The worst part is, I wasn’t told that the cream/ice cream was extra. The staff just asked, “Do you want cream or ice cream?” which makes it sound like it’s included. Bottom line, the final price came out to $9.95 with tax — nearly double what I expected.
Charging extra for milk is already questionable, but hiding add-on costs behind unclear wording is just dishonest. If your drink actually costs $8–9, then be upfront about it. They even have a self-ordering kiosk, but it “wasn’t working” — which felt pretty convenient for them.
Btw, I carefully read all the reviews after visiting the place and most of them are fake. For example, in some of them it was mentioned about variety of options (in reality the options are very limited compared to other places), sugar level (no options there), lactose-free (haven’t noticed those options, but i admit I might have just not noticed...
Read moreI like the boba here a lot, the staff have always been friendly, and I appreciate that they have unique treats like the Taiyaki. However, they aren’t very transparent in their pricing. They say drinks are $4.95 for original flavors or $5.95 for the signature flavors in the smallest size - 12 oz. But once you order they actually charge $1.50 extra per drink, $1 for milk and $0.50 for the boba. The charge for boba is in (very) small print on the menu but the milk isn’t. Gotta say, charging extra for boba is pretty normal in my experience, but charging for milk in milk tea is wild lol. For the same price of just under $7.50, I could definitely get a bigger drink somewhere else. If they were upfront with the price, I’d still come back for the food on the menu even if the drinks are a bit smaller. The bait and switch is pretty disappointing since otherwise it’s a...
Read moreWasn’t going to do this review but I don’t really want this happens to anyone else. Came here on July 29 due to the good reviews. I called 15 minutes ahead for 15 Thai tea with boba and when arrived I was greet with a free drink and said it would be a 5 minutes wait. After waiting for 20 minutes I was told that they have to do something with the boba. Another 15 minutes went by and they told me it’s almost ready? Finally they only have enough for 14 drinks and even tho I said it’s ok they still add a different drink and charge me for it and the total came out $165 plus tips comes out to $180. I don’t mind paying for the drinks but if you said 5 minutes then it shouldn’t be 45 minutes not to mention I was late going to my friend going away party. A week later I ordered the exact same thing somewhere else and the total came out to be $115....
