Starbucks — Restaurant in Shawnee

I'm not a regular, but induldge occasionally. I forget the name is their beverage sizes. I asked for large, she said grande and I agreed. That's on me I guess. I ordered 2 strawberry lemonade refreshers with lavender. I paid extra for this lavender. When we got the cups m, paid and left, my granddaughter said her's didn't taste like lavender. I took a drink of mine and agreed, but since I was driving, I couldn't do much at that time. Then she started coughing like something went down the wrong way. I had to pull over to check on her. She had taken another drink and it was a straight up glob of the unmixed lavender powder. I noticed that the lavender powder was all at the bottom of the cup, all around the bottom outside edge, not mixed at all. I get her settled and tell her we will try to fix it when we get to the store and I get back behind the wheel. Try to tell a 7 year old to NOT take off the lid to mix it didn't work well. She ended up spilling about 1/4 of it. I know that is not directly Starbucks fault, but it should have been mixed. If it was made correctly, she wouldn't have nearly choked on it or spilled it.

I get that it can be a busy place, but I wish the employees would remember to me kind with those who are kind to them.

P.S. After mixing the stuff at the bottom, we still couldn't decide if it had any lavender flavor. We bought the same thing at Target's Starbucks and it was...

I don’t post reviews unless I’m passionately in love or hate. But today, gurrrrrl my drink was so good that I had to review this store.

I used to always go to the other Shawnee Starbucks by Quivira, but for the past 2-3 months, they haven’t been mixing the iced matcha lattes well. I don’t fuss to them about it because sometimes it’s someone new or sometimes it’s just not their day. But tbh, it does annoy me when I gotta shake my own drink. Like, I’m talking obvious big clumps of matcha… Anyway, I recently moved closer to the Monticello one and have been trying theirs for the past 2 months. I would go around 8am or 2pm whenever I go, and I always see the 2 Caucasian male baristas from drive thru, and yooooo. I don’t know who is mixing these ice matcha lattes but THEY 👏🏼 ARE 👏🏼 COMING 👏🏼 THRUUU! 👏🏼 They are some of the best SB iced matcha lattes I’ve tasted in a while. The smoothness of how everything is mixed has been consistent! Bless these baristas! Thank youuuu...

I placed a mobile order before I even got there (10:30am) and I arrived around 5 minutes later. I understand when they’re busy my order isn’t going to be ready right away. Within the first few minutes my bakery item came out and it was warm. I stood there for 5 more minutes without any acknowledgement from staff. One gal asked me what I was waiting on but that was it as far as employee acknowledgement. It wasn’t until 5 more minutes later was I finally given my drink. At that point my bakery item was cold. Over 15 minutes of wait time total for something I ordered ahead of time. Drive thru drinks were flying... so don’t waste your time placing mobile orders when drive thru gets served first.
