I wrote a RAVING review about this place, and for some reason... it didn't post, and I can't find it to repost all I wrote. Lol.
The general gist was that this bar is absolutely AMAZING!!! The staff, from the bar to the kitchen, were absolutely AMAZING!!!
The beer and the WINGS WERE A SHOW STOPPER!!! I mean, honestly, I have never had wings more delicious than what they serve here. The BEST wings in Kansas/Kansas City Area!!!
We got the Garlic Parmesan, Buffalo, and Barbecue; all Charred and Sauced. I loved how they did the menu to give you so many options to choose on how to make your wings to your liking.
The environment can be a bit anxiety spiking if you are not used to that type of environment (literally just me, my boyfriend had the time of his life) but once we got settled, the anxiety started to fade and I felt protected, which I wasnt expecting.
The staff (she seemed to do all the up front bar work, order taking and serving so I don't know the technical name for that but she's a BOSS in my eyes) came around, she was absolutely amazing, respectful and extremely patient while I took a minute to figure out what I wanted.
Once we ordered, she brought his beer out, which was delicious! And the wings came out shortly after that. I had to temporarily stop our feasting for this ONE photo because I knew I had to come back and write a review about how amazing this place is.
This is an absolute GEM of a bar situated next to a Walmart. A slice of history and heaven all rolled into one. I am so grateful to have experienced the beauty that is this bar and all the wonderful joys that came...
Read moreWow.. When I arrived, I was fine. Some significant time later, our waitress made an appearance. Plenty polite while taking our order, when she arrived with our food, an older gentleman of my acquaintance asked for something to set his plate on, because common sense dictates one doesn't spread out on the poker table. To my astonishment, I watched her roll her eyes and shake her head, as soon as his back was turned. I was not pleased. Then I had to hear about how many painkillers she was on, and how someone didn't show up, as an excuse for this behavior. I took it in stride. It was about the time I went to use the jukebox, because I am not into classic country and rock. Paid for the credits and commenced.. Not ten seconds into the first selection, my choice was shut down. It was clear my kind aren't welcome here, or I'm of a kind who expects common courtesy from the service industry with no basis to expect it. I'm not sure. I suggested that if they were to claim veto rights, they ought to inform the paying patrons BEFORE they pay, and offer a refund when they do it. I don't make the determination what is available there, so I can't be expected to know what the waitress/bartender likes. I was on someone else's tab, had I not been, I'd have informed her she could get her tip from whomever just ripped me off for two credits. I was within reason to be disgusted with the first act of staggering bad behavior. I'm not expected to tolerate the third. I won't be back, ever.. Poor...
Read moreMy friend & I wanted to try a different place for lunch & a cold beer on Friday, April 28th about 12:45pm. I had heard good things about this place: comfortable, friendly, fun, good bar. I have friends that come here as regulars. We walk in, there's a guy bartenders with 3 people sitting at the bar. Another male employee was talking with a vendor at the end of the bar. The bartender looked at us like we were in the wrong place & Noone said a single word. We found a table & Sat down. We waited more than 5 minutes with ZERO acknowledgement aside from the looks. During this time, the man speaking with the vendor wrapped up, then went behind the bar & was talking to one of the gals at the bar. At that time, we decided to leave because it was obvious they didn't care about having our business. I was really...
