Risko's — Restaurant in Sheffield Lake

I am usually hesitant about going to a location to sit and wait for my food because I haven't had the best public interaction in a lot of places in Ohio, so I try to call in so I'm in and out. They don't do call ins after certain hours which is fair some people wont show up.

Wanted a quick bite that didn't taste like a gas station (no offense sheets), they quickly accommodated, and whatever wings they use already have a nice spicy kick to them so I don't feel bad about not getting spicy sauce over a milder sauce. They have touch tunes which is another plus, although beware they are cash only, which once again isn't something I can fault them over since they have an ATM.

The patio overlooks the water however there is surrounding construction. I can't fault a place based on surrounding stuff they have no control over. Bar is skinny like a hallway only 2.5x the size. Outside had cool little decorations on the railing so an attempt was made for the season holiday. Bartender was also dressed for spooky season which probably means the owner isn't a terrible person and will let people be individuals within front facing customer service vibes.

Only thing I could wish for is I didn't have to use an ATM when I went there, but small business has to save where it can, so I get it.

It's local, cute and friendly. Great: bar food, bar staff, bar games. Don't be shy say hi to a local, they don't bite. Well in my case one did, but she ended up becoming my wife. View of the lake and if you smoke - a little patio to do that with a nice view. The good thing is they only take cash so I have never gone home and woke up with a huge bar bill on my credit card. Enjoyable even if you only drop in for 30 minutes or a couple hours with your friends. They will card you even if your an 81 year old grandma so don't forget your ID. I loved the juke box and the sliding puck bowling game. Oh gosh now after writing this I'm going to have to go tonight. The wife does not drink so got a designated driver. Anybody need a ride home...

Went with an friend who is a regular and was treated very friendly by the bartender Sierra.

I was actually very impressed with Sierra who could probably run circles around most bartenders at any establishment as she was cooking and serving both food and drinks! She was more than efficient; she was on TOP OF EVERYTHING.

The food was quick and fast and my burger juicy with fresh cut fries.

Cute little place that is very clean and feels super cozy and inviting.

This is the kind of bar that would allow for women to feel comfortable coming in here alone for just a drink and something to eat without fear of intimidation or harassment from the customers or the bartender.
