I hate to leave only one star, and also give this bad review to a place that my family and I have enjoyed coming to for years. However recently my family and I went here for dinner. There was 8 of us and although the food and drinks were delicious as usual we were completely disrespected as loyal customers. Our bill came to $115.00 and left a $25 tip. Mistakenly we left another $20 on the table in the shuffle of trying to figure out the bill and tip. We never intended on leaving the waitress a $45 tip. We called right away the next day and the manager said he wasn’t working and the night time manager would call us back that same night and he would talk to him. He never did. We realize the restaurant business is crazy and busy so we waited a couple days hoping to hear back. A couple days went by and we called yet again and spoke to the night time manager whom at first acted like he never heard of this issue. He became very rude over the phone and then half way through the conversation changed his story and told us he did know about it but that the waitress wasn’t working and he hadn’t talked to her about it (at this point almost a week had gone by). We knew what table # we sat at, the name of our waitress and the total of our bill. The night time manager said he would talk with the waitress the next day and get back with us. Well guess what, two days have now gone by and nothing from the manager AGAIN! We realize we made the mistake by leaving the extra $20. We would have been fine if when we first called and said they would get back to us right away that they didn’t see the $20 or whatever. It was the lack of respect from both managers to not even call us back when they said THREE times that they would. It’s not about the $20, it’s about treating customers with respect which we were not. We typically come here in big groups, for birthdays, or other special occasions. Unfortunately we won’t be back after this. And for the record my fiancé’s name who called several times about this and left his number every time is Troy if any of the managers care...
Read moreI stopped in today after running around town and finally had a chance to check this place out. I swear I've been here before, but I guess not. Or maybe I have, but forgot to review it? Either way, it was a decent experience.
I reviewed the menu and it had enough good items to choose from. I went with the two puffy tacos that came with a side of rice and beans. I opted for Barbacoa instead of the ground beef. I didn't realize it until later, but they up charged me a few bucks for the switch out.
The food came out and it was good. the shell wasn't to soft and wasn't to hard, so it made eating it much easier and not so messy. The Barbacoa was good, and the portion of meat in there was hearty and filling. Rice and beans were good, and I mostly ate the refried beans.
I also got a container of chips and salsa when I sat down. I went with the mild salsa and it was really super mild. LOL. Like no kick to it what so ever. Drinks were always refilled and overall things were good. My server was friendly and attentive, and overall friendly.
When I got my bill I was surprised at how much it was. For a soft drink, and a combo plate with Barbacoa, it was $21. Ouch. That's where I kind of docked a star because I was expecting to pay maybe closer to $15. After tip, it was $25. I mean, I'm not a cheap person, but dang, $25. that hurts. LOL.
Anyway, place could use a paint job on the outside and some general overall care but Taco Loco seems to be the local hang out for everyone here in town. I kind of like that...
Read moreArrived a little after lunchtime on Memorial day. Didn't expect much because of the holiday, Just wanted a quick bite to eat to hold us over until dinner. Hostess sat us, We waited about 10 minutes for a waitress for a drink order and chips and salsa. We ordered food. Nothing fancy, just tacos and enchiladas and a burrito. Rice and beans. We waited 40 minutes from the time we ordered our food until the time it came to the table. Multiple other tables that arrived and ordered after us had already received their food and were halfway done eating. The manager and waitress walked by the table at least 25 times during that 40 minutes. Neither of them, Not a single time stopped at the table to mention the delay of our food or offer any explanation as to why ours still wasn't ready. Regardless of our poor service, This food is basic at best. It's a step above eating Taco bell. The ground beef and the chicken hardly had any type of seasoning. The portions are small and the food is way overpriced compared to the other local much better options for Mexican food. They charge 4.00 for a fountain pop. And if you want a second basket of chips while you're waiting 40 minutes for your food, There's also a few dollar charge for that. Will never step foot in this restaurant again. Save yourself a headache and go to Juan Miguel's or El Charros. Or literally any of the other...
