Ability PC — Local services in Shelby Charter Township

I don't think I have ever received better customer service from any business... ever. I dropped off my computer that had been overheating and running slowly, and also wanted 3 addtional case fans installed. I dopped off at 8am, and by 11am, my computer was completely cleaned of dust, CPU had thermal paste replaced, and fans were installed and configured correctly (they were not properly installed prior to coming in). Unfortunately, the power went out at the store at 2pm and the owner had to go home and had no way of contacting me as my information was in the system. I arrived at 4pm and was surprised to see them closed. I emailed the owner and he called me to inform me of what happened. He offered to drive out from his house 45 minutes away to get me my computer since I needed it for work, and then for me to come back and pay next day, but I declined. I came the next day to pick up the computer, and he did not charge me at all for the repairs and installation. After loading my computer in the car, I went back in and insisted on paying something, but he refused and did all of that work for free because of the inconvenience that wasn't even his fault. It was the weather's fault. This company has my business forever, period....

I normally do most of my PC upgrades and maintenance since I used to build computers many years ago. I was attempting to open a laptop to add memory and investigate how to clone my hard drive. At my office I did not have all the tools needed to open the laptop.

When the weather was nice a couple of weeks ago and I was on a walk, I noticed a business named Ability PC was in the set of businesses across right across Van Dyke from my office.

I decided to take a laptop into the facility. I was greeted by Pat and he asked what I needed. I listed the tasks and he took a look, made a couple of recommendations and said he could take care of it and that I would have my laptop by the next day. I was elated to receive a call later the same day and at a price that was reasonable. I decided to take the other 3 laptops that needed upgrades and each time they were done the same day. I have never had this experience before.

I appreciate that Pat was able and willing to take care of my needs and in a professional and expedient manner. I will use his services again in the future and I highly recommend his business if you need...

Brought my older desktop in here for a spring cleaning.

1st Pat is a super friendly, smart and kind tech.

He asked me what issues I was having told me it still had some good life in it and he cleaned it up and got rid of all the things that were slowing it down it used to take three to five seconds to copy and paste anything.

Just overall sluggish.

But it was a 9 year old Dell.

I dropped it off at 10:00 a.m. on a Wednesday and he called me later on that afternoon and the project was complete.

I said really, Cmon man?

He said if I'm not fixing equipment and not getting it out the door I'm not making any money.

Fair enough. 🤝

He even borrowed a component from a rescue pile and updated some board inside.

Took it home plugged it in and I was simply amazed that all the leg was removed all the sluggish operations were removed and it was lightning quick once again back in business...
