Game On Burgers & Bar — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

We got in 30 minutes after they opened, and it was a slow day for a Saturday, but that was perfectly fine. Walking in the establishment was very cozy. But we sat at the bar for a front row seat of goodness. Muriel was wonderful! And L was new to the Game on family, but she was an absolute delight also. I was there for the FOOD. My unofficial lil sister was there for the spirits. I started off with the shrimp basket, and let me tell you, I could have ordered 3 more of those as my meal. But don't sleep on that bourbon burger, that was delicious as well. She had a chicken sub and raved over that chicken that was on that sandwich. 🤭🤭 The atmosphere was perfect, and they even had an IG food blogger in with her family, kids INCLUDED! Was really looking forward to trying this places food since it has generally high reviews on here. Found it disappointing. First, I ordered a love burger and a black and bleu burger. I received a lamb burger and a black and bleu burger. Please have your staff verify orders. So I will judge the food based on what I received, not what I ordered. The burger had about the same amount of cheese on it (bleu cheese, which I dislike already) as fits in a teaspoon, so laughably minimal it covered not even half the burger. Once I got done scaping that off, I notice it had a few grilled onions on it but absolutely no sauce, completely dry sandwich. The ground lamb was odd to say the least. Girlfriend reports similar results, no sauce at all on her black and bleu and almost no cheese.

The fries were completely flavorless and limp. Almost no salt. Won't be ordering...

We got there 11:30pm on a Thursday night and this place was still serving food and drinks. We didn’t order any cocktails, but the server/bartender looked like he could really serve up some great drinks. The variety of boozed stacked on the shelf behind the bar looked like a good assortment with high quality selections. So glad this place was still open and the kitchen was still serving take out orders and in house dining at this hour. Music was relaxed lounge and there’s about 4 large TVs in the space to watch sports. Outdoor patio seating is also provided with umbrellas. This place is a perfect size and we were pleased with the service and the food. Inside has about 35-40 seats including the bar. Will be back next time I’m in Shelby for some late eats.
