Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Shelbyville

EDIT: Came back and still not following Covid regulations. If they can’t simply keep a mask on their face what other safety procedures and regulations are they not following?

First time eating here, I first took notice of their response to this pandemic. It was very off putting that the people preparing our food did not properly wear their masks, their chins were very protected but that was about it. To be more specific, I only saw two women doing this is this establishment. I was happy to see the rest of the workers wearing their gloves and masks properly. Negatives aside, the food was amazing! I had the Italian sub and they stuffed it to the point of overflow, I love to see it. The fries were made very well and a water is free. The woman taking our order was doing her job, asking the right questions. I would say she can work on being a bit more friendly, but that’s for the future customers that have to be sucked up too all the time to feel welcomed. This was our first time at a Penn Station. The food was very good. We got a reuben, an artichoke, an Italian, and a Philly cheesesteak. Everyone was pleased with their subs and fries. They had tons of people working because they had only been open about a week when I went. If you've never been to a Penn Station keep this in mind: for an average person, a small fry and small sandwich (6-inch) will be enough. We ordered 4 medium fries and ate a lot and still had two whole fry containers left over. The medium fry will easily feed two people. If you keep this in mind when ordering, it will help keep the cost reasonable. I have eaten at Penn Station in Shelbyville twice before, and I was bothered by the long wait for food. I decided to order online this time to avoid the long wait. I placed my order at 11:09 am and arrived at the store at 11:31 am, as instructed by the confirmation email. When I arrived, I explained that I was picking up an online order. They said it would be ready in a minute. I sat and waited with 11 other people waiting for their orders. A couple walked in after me and ordered food. I waited 21 minutes after my assigned arrival time for my food to be prepared. As I waited, all 11 people who were waiting and the couple who walked in after me were served their food before my food was ready. Needless to say, I will not return to this store again. So...
